Muse Research announces the availability of two new versions of their Receptor plug-in hosts hardware, respectively the Receptor Trio and Qu4ttro.

The Receptor Trio is presented as the “middle child” of the series, above the Receptor VIP. It features a 3.9GHz (peak) Intel QuadCore processor, 8GB of RAM and one 1TB 7200rpm hard drive (256GB or 512GB SSD drives options also available).

The latest generation of the Receptor hardware, the Receptor Qu4ttro, employs the same processor but the RAM is boosted to 16GB and the hard drive to 2TB (same SSD drives available).

Both models employ the TetraCore technology, a proprietary piece of software that manages the task priority and optimizes the available process resources so that the CPU will not be overloaded even with large libraries or plug-ins.

The Receptor Trio and Qu4ttro also use a 64-bit operating system and thanks to the Intellibridge technology, you will be able to use both 32 and 64-bit plug-ins simultaneously.

Another important feature on these new models is the proprietary Live Mode that allows the user to preload virtual set lists (up to the limits of the available RAM) and navigate in the presets, a time saver in live situations.

The new Receptor Trio and Qu4ttro ship will more than $900 of plug-ins with pianos, synths, amp modelings, vocal harmonizers, as well as pre-installed trial versions of the Native Instruments Komplete 9 / Ultimate bundles and third party plug-ins.

Last, Muse Research partnered with PreSonus and bundles the Receptor Trio and Qu4ttro with the AudioBox 1818VSL USB audio interface, which offers 8 analog inputs and outputs, 8 ADAT optical digital inputs and outputs, one S/PDIF digital stereo in/out, and a Word Clock output.

The Muse Research Receptor Trio is announced in the USA at the price of $2499 and the Receptor Qu4ttro for $2999. More details are available at www.museresearch.com.
