Millenium HP 4

I use depouis 6 months. I had the opportunity to test other models in the studio, much more expensive, the difference is significant at the record, especially regarding the blast generated. If you want to have a good level of output, the breath is present ...

The most:
- The solid chassi
- The 19 "rack
- The integrated
- The 4 stereo inputs (or 8 mono)

the least:
- Finishing a little cheap (very hard to turn knobs), final assembly leaving something to be desired
- The breath generated when attempting a bit of volume


Overall I remain satisfied with this little amp that I use in small session repeats at 3 or 4 zicos. In short it makes his job and 58th, there is nothing to say. Apart from the breath that it generates, I find it quite transparent, the resulting sound seems true asser-level dynamics. So yes, I recommend it for a small budget and for use in home studio for the model. For the real big catch of his ... I think it is better to go to the range above.

What I like most is the price,

front,
1 / 4 headphone outputs,
2 / 4 line outputs, they work even with mono!
3 / 4 input selectors,

At the rear,
4 / 8 mono asymetric inputs or 4 L and 4 R!
The entry "L" is mono only if it is connected and the output
mono headset will be on the 2 atria!

5 / A voltage selector blocked by a small transparent plastic tongue!

6 / Finally we end with the switch, as stated previously we would have liked to, but not really annoying!

7 / Price/quality ratio: for the price it is more difficult I think especially in 1-inch rack!

I have a slight hiss when I shoot from the 3/4 volume, but already the volume at 10 h is more than enough, a little also hum acute problem, but it's because of  the number of connected gear on the same table, change table and the problem goes away!
I will repeat this purchase again, for now the choice of 68 € including shipping and guaranteed 3 years, the future will tell me!

Purchased in January, from a famous German mail-order site starting with T. my order arrived quickly the first HP4 received did not work at all (a huge noise)
The very effective Customer Service sent me another one after 5 days  ... that was a problem on one of the outputs (Rebelote 2 days ago and I get a third ... that works wonders.

I wanted a headphone amp and not too expensive rack (fed up with jacks and housings PSU lying around the middle) I searched on the second hands but I found nothing under 50 € Free Shipping and without warranty garantie. Here I get 3 years warranty and cost me € 68 with shipping.

The sound quality is good. not breathing, powerful. I tested it with my 3 headphones (a Sennheiser HD25, Sony MDR-CD450 headphones and a lil Troubleshooting Philips SBC-HP200 to 12 &euro and that the quality is fairly good, as far as I can judge.

It is very simple. There's no choice mono stereo EQ ... as the Behringer and others.
on the other hand there are eight mono inputs and a selector on all 4 headphone amplifier inputs to select which one to listen to.

So on protools I made subgroups of headphones (2 so far) that I sent on 3/4 and 5/6 on each unit there is also a line out so you can not also be used to route different monitoring .

the + : the price, the apparent strength of the rack, the internal power supply (no transformer lying around), simplicity, and despite all possible configurations for a home studio

the -: - the switch is behind! not smart!
- For a 4 headphone outputs that can be light (there's HP8 with 8 output ... but the principle selector)
- Given that I have returned  2 to Thomann for good and it's made in China a bit generic (I saw its twin brother on ebay under another brand, but more expensive) I hope that it will work.

That said it is guaranteed for 3 years so I take too much risk.

If I had to do it over again, yes I would take the same value for money I think it is excellent for a home studio and only a small fortune.
