I had the small NAD 3020i and the 3020A 3020E + + 3020 for short.
I am often surprised their good tonality presence and definition, detail, but the most surprising is the small 3020i, this model has a peculiarity is that it has put the number of pat amp integr I compar on a pair of hard pregnant: the Spendor BC1!

I had this speaker model for 1 year, and only my amp KT88 tube
gave me satisfaction, but one day, no longer possessing the tube, I test a dozen integr amp even the very big, including the SANSUI AU-999 and guess what? yes NAD 3020i has small volume, gave an exceptional record for its power, it is the voice of the stamps, the presence scotch me and no other amp could make these English.

I just tested this amp with me (thank you my stepfather). I only listen to test one of the classic amps. I admit I took a slap. The qualities of the stamps, the crescendo from pianissimo to forte as the concert!
It is really a success. The music take over the relief to my kenwood ("stereo") and Denon (5.1) media range.
The best example is that I have no PRB to find the right listening level. With my other two amps, it's either too weak or too strong. Not with the Nad, the pianissimo is as true and make it up as a string instrument before you. Nothing less!
Well, with age (purchase in 1983), the knobs do not all up, it crackles by turning musical level but for me it's perfect. My wife finds it a bit hard, like he does not forgive anything. Indeed, the message is detailed, we hear much more the finger hits the string with energy, the intensity of the bow.
Me, is precisely what I love.
I did some tests on the same songs with my kenwood, it's flat and lifeless, see screaming at times! Same with the Denon, although more rounded than the Kenwood.
I tested on a Cd "variety" (Thomas Dutronc, no gypsy guitar), well, it's detailed but I was not on the buttocks as listening to classical.
My opinion is really based on listening to classical pieces with tower speakers English (JPW). So tempered to suit your musical tastes.
