I use these enseintes since 1996-1997
I tried a few other models, some more prestigious, the Skiff represented the best compromise musicality / cost / size for me at that time.
I liked their dynamics and quality of the return, even at high volume low.
These speakers were matched to an amplifier Onkyo Integra, the combination of elements gave me full satisfaction: a very good response, good definition, not aggression.
For modern music, they are very good speakers, for classical music I would not mind not being amateur.
These speakers are always with me, but they were replaced by Cabasse Wing as main speakers, which have serious longer present, but more seats in return a little less dynamic. My Skiff is always connected, however, but in providing a venue surround left and right rear of my installation cinoche home, where I have to admit that they are underutilized. Anyway, I would not throw them away.

If I ever get the chance, they will regain their place of main speakers.

I bought them in 1994 if my memory serves.

Oh yes! Linn, B & W, Mission, JM Lab (Focal), Rogers, ...

* What thing do you like most/least about it?
Plus: The dynamic realistic.

Since I have found better-and still not much better, but more practically in a pair of Genelec 1032A. Well, I no longer try everything that happens is real.

Minimum: The size (not a pocket model!)

In fact, one can easily confuse an instrument on these forums and the real instrument. And that is exceptional.

Some features: At first listen, one wonders what happened to the bass with an enclosure of this size ... until the volume rises to a more realistic level. Here, we are glued to the seat. So: not listening at low volume ... except rediscover the value of the loudness-often called "loudness" in English.
Generally, a small compensation (+2 dB below 200Hz) to better balance the spectrum ... but we are really talking about shades ... or rather perfection.

* What is your opinion about the value for the price?
Purchased from Magma-800km typed myself to pick them-ie 40% less expensive than my street, I was very happy with the ratio Q / Price

* Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice?
Well they are gone.
But I still have it.
Today, I'm rather lazy and I would buy a second pair of Genelec (8250 for example) but hey, the price has nothing to do.
But it avoids leaving for the Holy Grail to find the amp that goes etc..

However, Genelec has other shortcomings: not suitable for HiFi (I mean, music in the show) because too directional, for example.

Incidentally, the amp I chose, after listening to more than 15 - is the Linn Majik I
But Naim Nait is even better. Qualifications? Transparency, punch, and strong bass! Japanese amps midrange, move!

A pregnant French "recommended by HiFi Choice," this is not common.
