For my part, any defect in construction, exemplary finish. This guitar in the hands look like it on the site: elegant, fine, neat. I was afraid that the "Tobacco Burst" said Tobacco is a true, I do not support the gradient towards a dark brown, but the guitar has a nice warm color, from a medium yellow-orange to a brown- orange outwardly. The edge of the guitar also has its shades, a dark yellow to brown well.

Looking inside the gills, we note that the inside of the guitar is also treated as outside (no glue drips, fittings cramped badly).

The violin and finish are of a rare quality among guitar this price range.

UTILIZATION

The handle is very comfortable, flat and wide, the key is fresh, the binding is spot on. Access to acute is more than adequate without being a killer, it is a model ES, not Explorer.

Despite the appearance "massive" guitar, it is not very heavy (3.6kg) and is very well balanced. No diving header or everbearing playing, whether standing or sitting. The guitar is good for your body, no matter the height of the strap. High range, it fits perfectly against the chest; played like a raving rocker with microphone in the middle of the thigh, it does not move less. In addition, it is very good agreement.

SOUNDS

Comes with D'Addario 10-46 (my preference remains a 10-52, but whatever).

Unplugged, the guitar is already showing it's safe, it vibrates particularly resonates both in acute severe with her and slamming hot enough.
Connected ... Well, you can make him do anything. I work mostly with amp simulation (AmpliTube, Revalver, many amps in beta), and I found him few limits. Its main range will sound good in OD, I particularly appreciate its grain in Orange amp boosted a bit (Dark Terror halfway / Tiny Terror struck well). The C77 offers its unrivaled crunch fatty OD screaming, it's plug-and-play. Very intuitive, it is enjoyable.

Microphones Vintage77 (typed PAF) make a job of thunder, offering a perfect definition until far into saturation. In this type of sound, even at high gain, each note of a chord is discernible, the sound is never boiled, or even draft. Hat.

The cleans are very good - but not transcendent - of transistor amps, but on a good tube amp (an AC30 for example), you might be surprised by what to offer this little guitar. The neck position is warm, low, soft, and the bridge position is much less beautiful. For cons, the intermediate position has a pretty impressive range of harmonics and colors. Very stunning.

I attempted in 5150, in "big crazy sound." If you let him take a few mediums and not going too far in the gain, it stands up very well. We feel sure that it is not made for that, but I did not expect to play metal above example.

OVERALL OPINION

I was well informed before purchasing. I wanted an ES model, I looked everywhere. Epiphone in the models at lower prices Gretsch, Eastwood, Ibanez, Höfner ... I was not convinced. I discovered the brand Custom77 on the net, quite by chance, after having read and reread dozens of positive opinions about their products, I started and I ordered the model 2.0 Special without even tested. I asked a lot of questions before receiving it (would I be disappointed?), And it was a huge surprise, totally. It completely overwrites all models tested, including the upper range. Gibson Midtown Standard a friend has a very very flat side, and for 350 euros more ...

Its pluses are incredible adaptation to any gain (good choice for crunch and OD), the small flat remains a weak point for cleans - but keep in mind that this guitar is not designed for that.

I would do this choice without hesitation, I was captivated by the seriousness of the brand and know-how.
