«  EPI ES339 very good value for money »

Published on 11/19/13 at 02:22
Value For Money : Excellent
Handcrafted in China. rating: 8/10
This is a guitar with easel TOM average bill: 6/10
22 medium jumbo frets to sand correctly: 5/10
2 Alnico humbuckers pickups Classics with a very good report: 9/10
Volume and tone for each pickup with push pull on the volume (rocking single coil: 10/10)
The handle is kind of Gibson 60'S stuck with mortise and tenon: 10/10

UTILIZATION

Handle very nice and holding well in hand: 10/10
The reduced form of the ES339 is really very interesting. Comfortable: 10/10
Access to the treble is very good: 9/10

SOUNDS

It is perfect for blues, rock and even metal. For me it is very good: 10/10 (but is not suitable for Shreders)
The sound is typical Humbucker in normal use but becomes very P90 single coil (it supports very clean sound, which becomes blues and fat sound that gives a very good result on these microphones). It is very interesting to color the game 9/10
I play on modeling amp Line6 Spider Jam 75W and it is very interesting. 10/10
This guitar does not skinned my ear with sounds too dry. The semi-hollowbody body adds depth and hot expansion, the notes played. 10/10

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a week and I put it in comparison to a Les Paul Royale black that I have for twenty years. The LP has an optimal signal its microphones that seem more powerful (they are 20 years too). But the semi-hollow effect causes greater sustain and warmth that the LP has not.
I tried Fender (even with Humbucker), and others such as Epiphone SHERATON II, the DOT or the Casino, but the ES339 surpasses its versatility and possibilities of its microphones.
The price / quality ratio is excellent!
I would do this choice ...
