«  The best quality / price ratio Gibson! »

Value For Money : Excellent
Made in the USA by the Gibson Custom Shop!

Uniqueness between a ES-335 and Les Paul Custom - The ES-359 is a luxury version of the ES-339 with key handle Ebony fittings golden thread inlays and cuffs handle 'Mother Of Pearl Trapezoid '.
It includes the design of the ES-335 but with a small body similar to that of a Les Paul, giving you access to the best of both worlds, it is a formidable guitar versatility, perhaps the most versatile Gibson catalog.

The electronics and hardware are not left with a pair of microphones Classic 57 publicitée which is no longer to do with the sound full, rich midrange and singing - a jack mounted on the sides instead of the table and less intrusive. Finally we note the handle very comfortable profile 30/60 like the early '60s Gibson.

Parenthesis on the Memphis Tone Circuit: it preserves the high frequencies, mids and sustain the generous Classic 57 whatever settings volume potentiometers. In addition, the volume changes are applied to the potentiometer very progressive way of operating logarithmic like our internal auditory canal.

UTILIZATION

The handle type 60's is super comfortable, it makes the game stand classical or "modern".
Weight level it is between an ES-335 and a good Les Paul.
In terms of comfort, it coasts abyss least a Les Paul for the back and sides are "softer".
Access to acute is pretty good, but it is not an Ibanez anyway!

SOUNDS

This is a real gem and versatility when it takes you really feel that we are dealing with a high-quality instrument.
When you see the price of this guitar, it can be difficult to understand how some justify Gibson are sold twice (and I say this because I have tried a lot!)
It runs fast arpeggios defined (thank you ebony) sounds plump (thank you Classic 57 ')
I plugged into a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe or an old Marshall tube and this is happiness!
As a studio musician, I play everything and now for a meeting "normal" I emmenne just two guitars: a Fender (strat or tele) and it.

OVERALL OPINION

I plays for nearly 2 years with a non-concealed pleasure!
In fact, before cracking it, I did not even know it existed
I knew her sister, the ES-339, but found it lacked fishing heat, precision ... short, a good guitar but good.
I swung between a Les Paul Custom or ES-335, but I could not make up my mind until, almost by accident, a salesman in London make me try the ES-359, and then .... ............
Even two vendors who came to receive their activity stopped to listen to grain: heat and precision appointment!
I sold my 2 old no regrets Les Paul who took dust from the arrival of the latter in the stables!
