(This content has been automatically translated from French)
ESP LTD's sub-brand for its series X-Tone Paramount by its model ...
Channel 22 frets, 2 pickups hambuckers, 2 volumes, 2 tones, a switch 3 positions ...
Head 2x3 (chouette!), two cut sides, a sound, without vibrato red model.

UTILIZATION

The handle is quite nice, rather late for a guitar of this type.
Good access to acute with the cut sides.
Not too heavy, easy handling and fast. Nothing very special, neither + nor -.
The acoustic sound is interesting, once connected it loses a little of his personality (micro?), But nothing nasty.

SOUNDS

I was looking for a guitar to play a few typed post-rock/noisy but especially adaptable to the big rock and things softer and experimental.
This guitar has met all these criteria quickly with a hot round the neck pickup and sharper for the bridge pickup (nothing unusual we agree).
The body dug but not least, it helps to accentuate the warmth while keeping its pretty accurate.
I play sometimes on small combos type transistors or H & K 100w Marshall MG100dfx is correct. But in general I use my Vox AC30 and it combines well, it is still necessary to appreciate the vintage sounds, slightly grainy ...
I like the pickups with the toggle switch, even if the center position a bit neutral and too close to the handle.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought this guitar two years ago for € 450. I do not use it every day, I'm more bass, but I find it very accurate, relatively versatile if you do not hit the extremes of course. She has a pretty face and 2 volume / 2 tone allow various combinations. I thought at first to buy a cheaper guitar, but after trying a few Ibanez to 200-300 € (ho hum), the first Lag (blah) and some Squier (medium) I aimed a little higher and I 'm not particularly disappointed. Over time I found the microphone just a little, the rest is good.
I think I would do this choice for a guitar a little bit original. I bought a Squier Tele Custom from II to complement (300 €), it toggles.
But the ideal might be to put a little more and buy a Godin (finishing, heat, versatility ...)
