I guess first it would help to read my post from here, http://forum.studioathome.com/viewtopic.php?pid=18788#p18788

And so, after that is read, I will tell you what I am thinking of.

As a person that loves music, and better yet, loves LOUD music, I am looking for a system that would blow my ears out :)

Just to stay within budget for now, I was thinking about the KRK [RP-8]'s for my monitors. http://www.krksys.com/v3/rokit_rp8.asp

And the KRK [RP-10]'s for my sub woofer.
http://www.krksys.com/v3/rokit_rp10s.asp

This is the first speaker system I will have. My budget right now is about 600$ for speakers, and 400$ for the sub woofer.

Also, let me get this out there, I will NOT be needing a stereo. I am just going to have these hooked up to my computer because that is what I run all my music off of. Let me know what you think, please.

I am looking to getting these parts as soon as 2 weeks, depending on the response time of these forums :P

Thanks again!

professional audio monitors are NOT crafted to "blow your ears out".
they are meant and built to have a certain response and sound for a clear monitoring situation, not a party.

if loud music is your interest, you are wasting your money.

you can get much better monitors for your use at half the price.

Ok, sorry, I kind of mis-said what I was looking for. I dont realy need loud speakers, I am looking for excellent quality but still can get pretty loud.

the point is that you do not need monitors if you plan to just listen to music. its a total waste of resources.
but still, its your money....

(these web sites are for the sub's)

http://www.studiospares.com/pl_20_20320_HEADPHONES%20and%20SPEAKERS_SUBBASS%20SPEAKERS.htm

also

do you want active or passive

I dont realy know what to look for in studio monitors, or what active and passive means.

I was more looking for someone to pick out a set of monitors i should get based on what I want them for, and that is just listening to music from my computer. But I dont want just speakers, I want excellent quality REALY good studio monitors.
