    Fantastic tone

Music Man 212-HD One ThirtyPublished on 12/13/11 at 16:48
The Musicman 212 HD amplifier is a cool little Fender type amplifier. You have two channels of operation and two separate to 12 speakers. The look of this guitar amplifier is extremely similar to a fender twin reverb amp. It has virtually the same type of controls and sound you could find in a Fender twin amplifier. It is a huge 130 W of power so it does get a load of sound and volume push through these two 12 inch speakers.

    UTILIZATION

You have one channel with two inputs bright switch, volume, trebel, mid-range, and bass controls. The second channel features two inputs as well along with the bright switch, volume, trebel, mid-range, bass, reverb, and also the tremolo intensity…

The second channel features two inputs as well along with the bright switch, volume, trebel, mid-range, bass, reverb, and also the tremolo intensity in speed controls. There's also a deep switch included with the master gain control for the power section.

    SOUNDS

The tone of this amplifier is a pretty good sound. It's very well built and can carry a great solid versatile tone for pretty much any style of music. It's not going to be a amplifier that you can get a load of distortion butit will give you the similar type sound you would find any Fender amplifier. And fact this amplifier was designed by Leo Fender himself. This is a great amp that takes pedal controls such as overdrive or distortions and delays very well. It's one of those tones that is very crispy and clean sounding that has a load of versatility for most styles of music.

    OVERALL OPINION

These amps have been discontinued for a while but you can certainly find them on used classifieds and certainly eBay from time to time. There's very great sounding amplifiers and if you can work up the price for the used one which many of them run around anywhere between $500 and $900 depending on whether it's a head or combo version. So if you're looking for a great solid built amplifier that has the unique presence and tone of your Fender twin then this is right up your alley.

    UTILIZATION

Amp ultra simple: you plug and it works: just test all the inputs to understand how it works!
there is an entry for each channel that gives a louder sound than the other (a few decibels of light but is more noticeable)

EQ works well and allows for the sound you want.

    SOUNDS

This amp by design an explicit! make no mistake: this amp is a twin with another brand name
crystal clear sound and accessible on: the volume knob is the cruncher's a high volume and it's a treat!!

I recently changed the lamps to turn EH 6ca7 4 (these are military EL34) and a Sovtek 12xa7lps (special vintage amps) and I can assure you that I have discovered even more of my amp

I play with my exploring equipped with Emg 81/60: AC filed on 60 sounds on this amp is perfect: warm and dynamic presence nothing to say!
the 81 is behind him but asked not CLUI the AC (but not?!?)

I find this amp special effect-friendly: I have a lil pedal board consists of a dunlop crybaby, a turborat distortion, a Boss Mega Distortion 2, korg AX10G pti (sympatoche multi-effects to begin with), EH Small Clone chorus and MXR 10-band equalizer kerry king.

    I know, find the error!

You think this guy, he has twin fender and plays with the metal! damned much to say but I ca not find it so silly that ca ...

with the reserve of power and clean the amp, just a good deal distos its high volume and follows with ca limpression to play on the high gain so much hp and power does not weaken!
To play often with a friend with a 5150 with a 4 * 12 (you can afford to push the volume to donf) I can assure you it follows that I am not stifled for a penny ...

So in summary, with effects properly adjusted, the palette of sound is truly global and énormmmmmmmmme

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 years bought used (30 candles in 2006)

I tried to get into the amp lights and I quickly found the bug ...

I was impressed by its strength (despite its age) and his power of sick (yeah already playing a 6 on the master and with 3 of the channel it's been very very very bad!)
I learned to discover how to use it to find the sound that suited me perfectly and it's a choice I would definitely do it again!!

I wanted to sell it to buy stuff clearly oriented metal but I changed my mind: versatility that I managed to find me fully satisfied
and I look forward to play with a nice amp collection ...
