Creamware PowerSampler II

I bought it for the quality of the converters and the dps that turns samplers and effects, and surround mixing.
My purpose is that of a commercial studio cheap, so the gear mount with "home studio".
My config: MSI motherboard, Celeron 1.8 ghz (I think the change to a P4 before it is no longer possible, although I am quite happy now, but it quickly reaches its limits on native VSTi) 512 MB RAM, removable disks: Maxtor (20 Gp), Western Digital (80GB, 2MB cache).
I'm running with tons of freeware, including ProTools and free Magix Studio Deluxe (clone of Logic, I find 100 times suprieur Cubase).
For now the pramplification is ensured by a Behringer Pre-Q, monitoring by a Yamaha MX 12 / 4 (I do not like pramps Yamaha to live, a will, but registration is not me);
I will change to a small Mackie who will make two.

UTILIZATION

Installation is no problem, as well as under XP under W98SE.
THE caret is compatible with Mac and PC, but Macs are the features behind the PC functionality, which has motiv buy a PC when I prfre Macs ... but for the now I do not regret: a turn, and PC vendors may be a little less zero than their Mac when it comes to music ...
It is virtually impossible to use this card without delving into the manual: it is the reverse of lamdaille of its power ... so a year APRS have bought, I do not matrise 30% of its features. But then I'm still working in the emergency ...
Manuals (PDF) are trsdtaills and well made ... So it is (very) long read, and must be printed to be comfortable in the Discoveries of the card.

GETTING STARTED

The drivers are nickels.
I board not measured the latency and I do not ever put your nose, but I would say it is weak and should be sufficient to run the live synths and samplers using the DSP.
For now I limit 2 I / O, so I board could not push it up, but it's really the stuff trs pro rput Creamware and other users that I ' ais believe are unanimous on the quality of Systm Creamware SCOPE and products.

OVERALL OPINION

I ais last year, before I used it a ISIS Guillemot, I board could also express the Tascam US 428 and Soundblaster Live. Since my well-aim K7 Tascam 488, I had not found before it's a grain that satisfies me. The Creamware Exceeds heard what I board: full and warm, dynamic, lack of breath, transparency ... I find it perfect.
I will persist in my choice, handing in my Systm O and can also be DSP (in order to open large DSP samplers same time as the mixer and DSP effects, m me so for now I do not feel limited: I compose, and then I mix).

What is a bit strange, as on most sound cards is to end up with the mixer cascade of Creamware and that of squenceur, so that I privilgie operation with a virtual ADAT : a better match my logic of work).
