«  AKG Perception, entry-level to catch already "PRO" »

Published on 11/05/10 at 13:06
Hello,
Micro static transistor very versatile, the perception 220 is a good compromise until the 414, lol.
This mic is powered by 48V and is cardioid.
Designed for all catches of voice sounds and instruments, the 220 has a difference of 5dB in more than 120 in the pressure: 155 to 150.
It is useful in home studio, but with good equipment, can be used on stage (tested with Voice Live that pre-amplifies Larsen often with his friend!)
While playing on the gain. Honestly

OVERALL OPINION

for 8 days.
My other models: Apex 435, MXL 990, two USB Behringer B1 and whose SnowBall Blue with suspension as polemic.

Pros: Achieving AKG, seems very sturdy, versatile, comes with the flight case and suspension very well studied. it is very beautiful sky blue and silver, and frankly it has nothing to envy its big brothers in the studio for singing as for instruments. Two Switches on the body: a pre-attenuation of-20dB and a cut filter Bass.

The least: its impressive weight but the fixing screw type feet for the suspension is reassuring here AKG has yet do so.

Ultimately this type of microphone, if the entries range between 50 and 100 € already have good skills but beware of the bad lottery, I think "a little more expensive" between 150 and 200 € more than justify the small budget. AKG remains true to its reputation with this type of microphone that is becoming a serious competitor to the AT2020 or 2035 with the Switch (already tested) and possibly others.

Yes, there, I reiterate my eyes closed.
