I'm not going back on the technical details mentioned by others before.
Only one regret: the signal / noise of only 76dB ... a little weak, but good for this price, not much to say.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for a few days that I submitted to various tests against my previous static one MXL990 (which cost me almost double). The sound is much clearer (although it is the MXL not bad shot), but the voice, it takes a bit of treble.
For my tests, I used the instruments at hand:
- Djembe: the two are equal.
- Recorder Alto: I quickly forgot that the MXL microphone was discovering the great result of the Apex ...
Some notes though: the carrying case may be padded, if it's not worth even a small suitcase found in competitors and protects much better ...
[edit]
After using it to catch its a bass clarinet and tuba, I can make it superbly wind instruments even if it captures the slightest defect in the sound of the clarinet ...
