The Boomerang is the most second version of the boomerang phrase sampler.

UTILIZATION

The setup is very simple. The manual is well explained, well written, with a little humor. There is a French version on Audiofanzine. The functions are programmed with the feet, which is convenient for guitarists. Everything is fairly intuitive, and really practice. SOUND QUALITY

I read a lot about the quality of the converters. In fact, it's a bike pretty versatile, so be aware adjust input levels. I felt that the sound became rough after one or two loops, in fact it must be specific about the level of entry. For now the most appropriate setting for me: in the effects loop of my amp. it allows me to have the distortion of my amp and have an adjustable level correctly. After, beyond 3 or 4 layers, it becomes rough, not necessarily because of the bike, but because the frequencies are mixed a bit. 4 guitarist in a band, it's ugly too.
The reverse lead is funny, but for now I do not control more than that.
The possibility of playing a loop an octave (or a second a third a fifth) below me is to work on solos or to make a bass line. We must be able to use it for testing alignments, but I have not dug.
In addition to the quality of the loops, super nice surprise is the effect of rendering as Delay. As you can set the time of termination of the loop (how many times the loop is repeated before tapering silence) you can adjust the repeat delay, and with the foot you set the speed (= tap tempo delay) .

I do not know what to blame level sound quality. You must set the input level, but that's normal.

OVERALL OPINION
