Published on 07/15/12 at 14:07Guitar made in Korea.
Channel Type 56
22 frets
2 P90 pickups
Grover
Selector 3 posititons
2 volume knobs
2 tone knobs
Flawless finish, adjusting the neck perfect, pretty hard to imagine given the price. Only downside for inlays that are really cheap and would have deserved more attention, they are not quite pearly.
UTILIZATION
The handle is very nice with a typical access to acute LP, not the best but not impossible either.
The very good overall finish and quality of violin give this guitar a very pleasant side to play and make us forget its weight.
The tone knobs are very effective and offer a nice range of shades.
The crystalline sound into overdrive channel fast enough drool, I personally love it but the risk of displeasing fans and metal shredders of all stripes.
SOUNDS
Primarily used in a Line 6 Pod Pro - Amp Marshall EL84 20/20 - 30 Harley Benton 4x12 vintage, I have on hand an arsenal of sounds blues, rock, funk fusion quite varied.
The clean sound is beautiful but crunche fast enough, it's not a Strat.
The gain of the microphones is very substantial, good dynamics and lutherie offers great sustain.
It gets warm and round bass and treble never garish, stunning for a guitar of this price.
OVERALL OPINION
I use this guitar for 4 years and I must admit that it's my favorite.
I own a Gibson LP firebrand and well the GT does not have much to envy.
I always wanted a Goldtop LP Gisbson but not having the budget, I folded this model after reading the rave reviews that are made. So I tried a few and every time I was amazed by their finishing and their sound. So I ended up cracking and I do not regret my choice.
Everyday it's the guitar I play most, she has a trick of her own and I'm hooked. I must admit my Gibson away for little Epi and yet my Firebrand is a great love story ...
Again, this guitar for its price is a bargain for anyone looking for a good LP with great looks and sounds great.
In my opinion the best choice in the range Epiphone LP.
