It is a Les Paul entirely conventional, mine in 1977 and of course "Made in America".
You should know that the model "deluxe" model replaces the "classic" from 1969 and up to 1984.
Normally the microphones are mini humbuckers but mine has a modified T Burstbucker (neck) and Di-Marzio super distortion bridge. Mechanisms have also t exchange by Schaller as the original ones are really could, I've been told
The handle is sturdy, the body accajou, the rosewood fingerboard and the table is covered with a beautiful finish "Gold". It is therefore a Gibson Gold Top Deluxe with Custom pickups!
I have to pay 1700 and it is not a bad deal (see more)
I put 7 as there are much better at Gibson's and 70's are not deemed to home too ...
UTILIZATION
Then it's heavy trs, access to virtually no acute, the volume knobs are a dcoration and the pickup selector is misplaced .... As with all LES PAUL. Defects as you say, yes, but only one quality: it sounds!
Another characteristic is the very big stick ... I don 't ask for more, you feel comfortable making up the rhythm with the thumb on top, all a box of scne trs but not versatile.
SOUNDS
This is my fourth guitar, I was looking for his Les Paul for rhythm saturated
(Trust, Lenny Kravitz), here I thought: D. I am SKA-ROCK (well sharp shuffled syncope and greasy gimmick) ca does it well. I played on a Mesa Boogie Road King all-tube ... IZGOOD!
OVERALL OPINION
I play for a month, I like the sound vintage and saturated fat stick to the rhythm on stage. To me it did not default, because I have a 335 and a Strato to the sounds she can not do.
