A great lady
Published on 07/16/14 at 09:44 (This content has been automatically translated from French)This guitar is a limited edition of 2009. Produced by Gibson Usa it was made only 350 copies.
So it's basically a Les Paul 2008 Standard upgraded if I did not say stupidity. It is chambered, it is unfortunate but it happens. No need to introduce the standard Paul, I will present here the specifics of the Florentine.
Its characteristics are:
- A Bigsby B7 bridge the best effect.
- Mechanical self-locking bridge with roller.
- A slightly asymmetrical handle for a more comfortable game.
- A Florentine cutaway for better access to acute.
- A finish "vintage sunburst" really beautiful.
For the rest it seems to me that there is nothing original.

UTILIZATION
So this guitar is really a pleasure to play. It is comfortable, it is taken in hand immediately is velvet. The Florentine cutaway facilitates access to acute. But it is still not exceptional, it's still a Les Paul.
More being chambered, it is a light! Concerts and rehearsals extendable do not feel.
This guitar has a great sound, a Les Paul from beginning to end. We quickly get a good sound and settings on the guitar are very rudimentary. Nothing complicated!
SOUNDS
So this guitar suits me perfectly, I mainly to Blues, Rock and generative improvisation. Neck pickup has a beautiful sound, just perfect circle. on the other hand I think changing the pickup that I really do not think it's great, it is much too loud. Yet it is 2 Burstbucker pro. I mainly played on a Orange TH30 and it sounded really creepy!
I think this guitar is nothing special or unique in sound compared to other Les Paul. That's the look that makes it stand out.
OVERALL OPINION
I played for over 4 years now and all the ones I've tried I found one that surpasses it (my Les Paul recording II).
For me its strengths are:
- Its unique look.
- Playing comfort offered no asymmetric handle and cut.
- The lightness of the beast that is lacking in a lot of Les Paul.
After objectively this guitar has no real fault. In reality it is very commonplace in sound and only the look and playability make interesting.
I find this relatively expensive guitar for what it has to offer. For the same price I think you can find much better. This is a guitar that sends prestige visually.
However this is the first that I paid and will remain my favorite. Without hesitation I would do this choice because even if it does not add much to the sound, it's still a pure Les Paul that disconnects per pack of twelve!
