I am going to try to give you a quick return on what I think of this controller, but beware I am a casual user, not pro.

What programs do you use?
I use Reason in rexire with Acid Pro
Reason: Too much (for MIDI), but not damage it takes the audio tracks
Acid Pro: My favorite DAW (such as tracker for audio)
Sound Forge: I'm using it less and less, now and for cutting samples and check the chart tracks.

What do you think of others:

Ableton Live: I count myself to
Record: I love, I'd love to have to overcome the shortcomings of Reason and to say goodbye to Acid Pro.
Cubase: I like but ... I prefer Acid for audio and Reason for MIDI.

Fruity loop: I tried several times ... I hang not
Sonar: I tried several times ... I hang not
How long do you use Zero SL MK2?

2 months
What are the characteristics you like best?

LEDs very present, the digital display panel, the touch pad, tilted console format, design, quality buttons and faders, and especially the automap
What is so special that you like least?

Pads pads substantially hard if I quibble, though I board not had time to grow in use, so we'll see you soon.
Otherwise nothing to report
A if the implementation of Ableton Live in beta but should be out soon, as I intend to try this DAW.

Did you try many other models before getting this one?

BCF-2000: sold because too big, too ugly, too loud, too complicated, motor controllers ... gadjet. In short, night and day with zero SL MK2.

I also eidirol faders on a keyboard that I never use. Sold short as a keyboard M-Audio 61es Keystaion

The Zero SL MK2 controller as intelligent as I had the opportunity to use.
Since I have, I finally check my software with the hardware.
No need to waste hours and hours to monitor its programs. Besides, I do not often use my old controllers (more forced and tedious than anything else).
What is your opinion about the value for the price?

In hardware and software that is really the road, value for money unbeatable, nothing to say.
Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice?

Squarely
