Warwick Thumb BO Dirty Blonde LTD 2006

I tried this bass two days ago because it was on deposit-sale in a store.
Warwick fan at heart, I could not resist his design of thumb (I had a 5 string bolt on a few years ago, I liked the sound, but the balance was poor).
Actually, it's a great bass, the table is in burr poplar, swamp ash body, flamed maple handle and ebony fingerboard. Really superb. We just have to wonder what gives this blend of woods ... I would go back, it's not famous ...
The fittings are typical warwick, easel into two parts, adjustable nut, etc ... While the much lighter than the thumb bolt on that I had! 2 kg or less! And very well balanced!
The MEC pickups and electronics of the same name, in three bands, are very good, I can say this because I tried them on another bass, I'll explain why this shift syntactic further.
The build quality is good, what's warwick. BUT ...

UTILIZATION

Yes the bass is fun to play, albeit empty, well we do not hear much compared to my streamer LX, or my 89'' Streamer Stage II.
Access to acute as a thumb, it is not easy, but the neck has 24 frets, so the day you want to play one half of the 24th 16VA box, change the string bin and you'll behold, to the 19th! No kidding, it's still okay, like most low 24 cases.
All settings are at hand, so no worries, it's pretty classic ...
Balance is better than the thumb bolt-on that I had 5.
BUT ...

SOUNDS

If appearances are beautiful, they are also misleading ... Despite the quality of the electronics and pickups, it sounds not, I attacked the beautiful yet, no answer, even if the handle is comfortable to play, slapping, tapping, playing with fingers ... Everything is flat, featureless, with no personality ... Needless to say that natural and artificial harmonics ... Ben, do not count on it! The wooden employees make no depth, no sustain, harmonics, yet normally present on most arch of Warwick are virtually absent, it is flat, it sounds worse than a squier vintage modified! And maybe a jim Harlez (well, here anyway, I'm a little cow)
Electronics is struggling to compensate for what I think is a bad mix of woods, and yet it is powerful! It sounds like a bad jazz bass (the same micro precision seems tasteless!!)

OVERALL OPINION

I do not dwell on this view, but I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THIS LOW. IT'S POWDER EYE!! CA NOT RING A HAIR!! I do not know what the other models give LTD, which are very beautiful, but FORTUNATELY I not exchange my jazz bass deluxe QMT us against it, yet, at the beginning, I had gone to!
So Mr. Warwick? The old wooden stocks to sell? It makes anything now? We want to convert to the manufacture of pallets? Taking inventory of wood at Leroy Merlin?!?
The question remains: IS IT A SCAM?? Because it's worth over 2000 euros nine that thing!!
At the price it is, you can get much better. I compared it to my streamer lx (Cygnus bought 750 euros), and my streamer stage II (compared? No, really, it would be insulting to my streamers!), It is the day and night: I keep my streamers!
