Noisebud celebrates the launching of their new website with three new plug-ins, two of which make use of the Haas psycho-acoustic effect.

HaasPan allows for creating pan effects without affecting the stereo image, the Haas effect creating the illusion that the sound moves from one side to the other. Noisebud adds that they got an 11ms delay, but in theory you can get up to 40ms. The VST 32-bit plug-in for Windows uses only the left channel to apply the process, evidently you’ll need a stereo output to hear the result.

The other plug-in based on the Haas effect is pHaasE, which allows for displacing the stereo image by delaying the Side information within the Haas time boundaries. This effect can be applied in mastering or mixing situations to get a new stereo image. pHaasE is also a VST 32-bit plug-in for Windows.

Both plug-ins are available as donationware, default price is $9.90 but you can set your price (from $0 to infinite). If you donate $20 or more, you’ll receive the All Noisebud Donationware Package as a bonus (10 plug-ins).

Last, Noisebud introduced MidSider, another VST that allows for adding a Mid/Side encoding/decoding feature to any plug-in. The plug-in was developed for Reaper, but it will also work in other DAWs supporting 4 channels or more.

This plug-in is also a donationware, but no freeware is available. However, Noisebud offers a demo version with occasional white noise.
