US manufacturer Applied Microphone Technology announces the new S26i microphone system for acoustic double bass.
The AMT S26i system is designed to be clamped to the acoustic double bass tailpiece. It includes a gooseneck and a suspension for the electret-condenser microphone that will allow for easy positioning/orienting the mic. AMT adds that the microphone was designed specifically for double basses.
The S26i also features a preamp that will connect to the microphone via XLR.
The AMT S26i is hand built in the USA. The systems retails for $499. More information available at www.appliedmicrophone.com.
