Basone Guitars has released more variations of its newlatest line of products, the Phoenix series.
These electrics’ bodies are described as “a hybrid of bookmatched Honduran Mahogany, coupled with bookmatched tops of quilted and flamed B.C. Maple, featuring a classic-shaped reversed sound-hole.”
British Columbian AAA flamed Maple necks are featured on each body. The headstock top patterns are carefully matched to the body top’s grain. There are two headstock styles available: the original Basone, and the traditional classic headstock design.
The crimson flamed version follows a more traditional style with its ebony fingerboard and firm mahogany body, designed to create a “more direct, hard-yet balanced sound.”
There is also a honey-canary version, with a slippery laminated flamed maple fingerboard.
These electric guitars are equipped with Cabrera pickups, a Rio de Janeiro based pickup company. Both instruments are also outfitted with Sperzel tuners and GraphTech Resomax bridge systems.
Pricing & Availability
Basone products can be found at music shops in Vancouver, such as Bonerattle Music, Not Just Another Music Shop, and at Baseone headquarters, where guitar customization is available starting at $1800.
