i paid about 300 dollars for this slightly used instrument.

it is hands down the sexiest guitar ive ever seen. period. the v head, the gold hardware and the body are all just beautiful. it sounds rediculously good with fast action and lots of high end

the guitar chips easily. besides this small cosmetic problem it is very well made, doesnt kill you with weight and stays in tune forever

personally, i would rather noone own this guitar but me because it is so unique and beautiful and i am a very greedy person. However, i highly suggest this guitar.

List price is $599.00. I paid significantly less through an online wholesaler who ordered factory direct for me.

This is the guitar of dreams for someone who can't fork out $1000-$3000 for a USA made Dean or some of those "other" big name guitars. It is justly named the "Cadillac" of guitars.

As always, it's hard to talk about all the things I like about a Dean guitar. This is one of the most unique body styles in the guitar industry, being something of a mix between the round body of a Les Paul, with the cutaway and "pointy" end of a Dimebag ML. Can't forget to mention the huge "V" headstock. It's designed in a way to help get more string on the guitar to help with intonation, and it accomplishes that quite nicely.

The finish is flame maple cherryburst on a mahogany body & neck. Set neck construction. Gold hardware, Grover Tuners, Tune-o-matic bridge, block inlays and 6-ply binding all the way around. Separate volume and tone pots for the high output Zebra pickups, and the tone pots are push/pull for coil tapping. Great variety of tones with these features. Plays like a dream and stays in tune for days.

Of all the import lines I've seen, played or owned, Dean Guitars are the best. They are compariable to a great many USA Hand-Made guitars of much greater price. This is my 3rd Dean purchase in less than 2 years if that tells you anything about how I feel about their quality and bang-for-buck ratio. I played nothing but Gibsons for a great many years of the 27 I've been playing, so switching to Deans as I have is no small compliment to their product.

My next purchse (with a bit of luck) will be a USA made Cadillac with a custom finish.
