I am a drummer, and i decided i wanted to play guitar as well. I am a huge nirvana fan, so this was perfect since kurt cobain used a mustang 50% of the time. I bought it at the House of Guitars in Rochester N.Y. (the greatest music store on earth) for about $400.00...It was totally worth it!!!

First of all, the Candy Apple Red is a really buetiful color, and the stripes on the side adds a nice vintage, high school- garage rock look to it. The body almost molds to my body. It just works. The Neck's small size is great because i'm a small guy... The brigde is great too. It has all sorts of clean sounds possible. When its dirty, man its dirty. The Distortion is great.

I hate the pickup switches right above the low e string, they every once in a while get in the way of playing, but only sometimes. These were not made for hard rock or metal, so its a good idea to purchase hotrails for the bridge and/or get yourself a good distortion pedal.

Its really light weight...Its built brilliantly and everyone i see tells me how pretty it is. Its built so solid, i ocassionally bang the headstock on something, but it can take it and doesn't show alot of damage. I accedently droped it and it got some minor dings, but not any that have chipped (knock on wood). The guitar over all, is built very well for the price.

Oviously by looking at my review, i'm a big talker, but much is to be said about the mustang. For alternative rockers, it is a must. Its built nice, its extremly comptorable when sitting and standing, it sounds incredable, and looks oh so cool. It just rocks, don't waste your money on anything else.

it's my friend's guitar. her dad paid a couple hundred back in the day.

it's so freaking AWESOME!!!!! the sound is pretty nice, but i cant tell cuz i only hear it thru a bass amp. but the build is incredible. the action is ....there is no space between the string and the fretboard it's that freaking amazing. it plays like a dream and the trem system is awesome, except it knocks it outta tune ...but very rarely.

uh... well... it could use more frets. but that's really it. it's incredible!

I acquired this from my local guitar store, i had them order it for me. I bought this and a tweed hardshell fender case for $590.

I love the color of the guitar, it says candy apple red, but it has a metallic feel to it. It also has a creme color tri-stripe on the lower bout. It plays well and the tremolo doesn't shoot it out of tune too much. everything was of good quality and the neck plays very nice and has decent sustain. Its very comfortable to play with the offset curves and such and i can play all the frets once set up correctly without any buzzing, but while maintaining a good action. It's smaller scale and vintage frets make chording a bit easier on the fingers and soloing easier on my hands

fender didn't send a damn allen wrench, so i can't adjust much by myself, also i can't screw in the vibrato bar so its kinda not in. the pickups are a bit weak but with the switches offer a lot of tonal variety. All i can say about that is that i might change them up eventually, but as for now all i have to do is turn my amp up. Also, i wish they came with matching headstocks

Quality is good, just as i'd expect from fender. Nothing loose, nothing wrong really. the finish is beautiful and adds to the guitar's overall beauty. It was made in Japan, which in my opinion makes some of the top guitars, rivaled by the mexican and american fenders only. The action is good, everything seems to keep in tune. and i play everything from church music to punk to jazz to swing to rockabilly to good ol rock and roll. so its very versatile.

if i lost this, i'd probably wanna buy another one. its my favorite guitar and is easily one of the most unique and well played guitars i've ever ever played.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought it for 600 on Thomann (the dernire in stock! And is no longer manufactured), I fell immediately for her, too beautiful and the violin is more than good my gut. Only microphones "pchent", especially the bridge which is replacing me. The original configuration suitable mainly for clean sounds and LGERS crunch and a change of pickups would increase versatility.
This is a guitar's personality and well it should be taken into account but it is a good instrument for low trs that adopts an electronic match its quality. A super cheap scratch basically.

UTILIZATION

Like her sisters and other the Fender Jaguar Jazzmaster, it features a bridge into several pieces that require the expertise for proper adjustment. The accuracy has never been the preserve of this style of guitar but it is perhaps also what makes them so attractive.

The best word we can give this guitar is "light".
This is probably divided as many people about it. The pickups have an output level below the normal single coils and deliver a sound rather dry and crystalline.
Personally, I find that the sound is like the guitar, it has charm, character, ... It is, dare I say, feminine.
The relative lack of clean bass but, against, is very rich in the treble. The bridge pickup sounds quite aggressive and supports quite well the distortion. Obviously, given their level of output, the sound distortion and lack of density is not suitable to power rock or metal (together, the handle will not fit the technical and the look of the guitar gives it much thought is not made for big sound). But against the rendered distortion will still be fairly aggressive with its grain and more airy delight fans of noise music, alternative and punk.
The neck pickup has a higher output level, oddly. The sound is more balanced and warm. A vintage sound of choice which is very good sounding arpeggios and you can even indulge in some bluesy solos.

OVERALL OPINION

This guitar will not please most rock guitarists by his lack of power but has a special charm that makes this guitar is a pearl in his style.

UTILIZATION

Vibrato "Fender Dynamic Vibrato" which reputable bad, yet I have no problem with (rglage question may be) it can operate even without the stem!
CONTRL basic: Volume and Tone gnrale, remains what it was best for me (especially the CONTRL is effiaces is the Fender!)
The handle is short trs (24 inches 0.75 inches so unless a Les Paul) enjoyable, just got my end (I like those types "baseball bat" certainly )
Mcaniques of that vintage prsentent a good efficacitstyle, a caramel-colored handle BEAUTIFUL, a broad head type Fender 70's, a beige finish trs (too) strong ... Short but good!

UTILIZATION

I have less than two months. This is a guitar with strong characters, it was for that I chose from including a Start. It has a reputable lack of versatility, yet it is sized for the surf, funk, punk, garage, grunge ... It can also provide bluesy leads even if it is not his vocation. I tried a lot of scratch irrelevant that the (Gretsch, Schetter, Gibson, other Fender, Epiphone guitars ... very brief) and I made my choice knowingly. I changed the bridge pickup with a DiMarzio Super Distortion (double simple format) and there is amazing, it deserves its name mustang competition!

it's a good guitar sounds correct in that can turn into a killing with the change of micro

I got it for five years, and I have my guitar has active (bcp more than what my level would leave penser8 ^))
I like its enjoyable to use and I hate his microphone side has changed since the report ac makes money a little less good: 700/800 euros to understand we have a good violin but must add 200euros microphone, it remains correct

The Fender Mustang Reissue '69 is an electric guitar that is no longer being made. Fender does reissue a vintage Mustang guitar, but it is the 1965 version if I'm not mistaken. I don't know exactly when they made the '69 reissues, but I first used one about two years ago. The guitar has two single coil pick ups that each have switches to put them on or off. It has volume and tone knobs that control both of the pick ups, and it also has a whammy bar. This guitar is also known as the "Competition" Mustang and was made in Japan.

UTILIZATION

The overall feel of the Fender Mustang Reissue '69 is outstanding, as the action on the one that I played was incredibly low and very easy to play. Playing up and down the neck isn't an issue, as it in general an easy guitar to play. The guitar is definitely on the smaller side because of the small body, and is pretty light because of this. In my time using the guitar I've found it very easy to get a full bodied sound with a lot of character.

SOUNDS

This guitar is probably most often used for rock and alternative music, as it definitely has the Kurt Cobain connotation attached to it. I've used the Fender Mustang Reissue '69 for recording with a '76 Fender Twin Reverb and a variety of pedals including an Ibanez Tube Screamer overdrive, a Boss CS-3 compressor, and a Line 6 DL-4. Even when used without any pedals or effects, the sound I got was instantly impressive both as a lead and rhythm guitar. I would say that I like it best as a rhythm guitar because is really sounds full bodied when you play barr and power chords, but it is suitable for any type of use.

OVERALL OPINION

Overall, I'm definitely an advocate for this guitar. As any guitar player knows, Fender has an incredible line of guitars, and this Mustang Reissue is just another flavor that they have to offer. I don't believe that there are too many Fender Mustang Reissue '69's out there since I believe that they were only made for a short while. I don't know how well this matches up to the other Mustang reissues either since I haven't tried them. I would imagine that the price of this is somewhere in the middle, but it probably varies since it isn't the most readily available. If you're into Fender Mustangs and come across one of these, I'd definitely encourage you to do a double take.
