PRS Custom 24 (1991-2010)

Bought second hand almost new
U.S. guitar, 24 frets, neck thin enough, 1 tone, 1 volume, 5 positions rotocontacteur
HFS bridge pickups in vintage bass neck,
prs bridge in 2 directions, very nice translucent red appear leaving the wood, rosewood fingerboard, mahogany body, maple neck maple glued.
The frets seem to wear out less quickly than the EC22
the box is made to adjust with all the guitar parts and more small, very well seen.
Beautiful silver fittings a little sensitive to moisture and corrosion,
at this price it's not pretty nice of them.

UTILIZATION

The handle is excellent but a little thin for my big hands hands
as the EC 22, everything is obvious, it seems to have a watch movement, perfect finish, not too heavy, balanced, I have had many guitars but none made me such a print, I bought another PRS and a Music Man, since I preferred the handle of the EC22 or godin, but it's still a treat with super low action
A touch of luxury when small sparrows is wonderful!

Two small flats,
1) The rotocontacteur death, but you get used to it's very difficult to ever know visually what position you are, it takes a little practice, you turn one goes to fund and back positions, as one sequential gearbox lol, but after a while nothing's ear we know where we are, in short, you get used to.
2) The volume you can touch playing with the right hand and is very loose, so be careful (good for violoning on the other hand).

The locking system of ropes was revised compared to earlier models and is perfect

SOUNDS

As for the EC22 cu24 is a versatile guitar, fender gibson mix but with a personality PRS what more she can do anything, jazz, rock, metal, country, musette, rumba,

In case it is a secondhand, given its quality. The price in France is expensive but it is a good piece of high quality. a great personality.
Everything seems clear on this guitar.
I buy a day if I could afford it.
For those who hesitate EC22 is excellent and the most happening everywhere, cu 24 is most excellent and beautiful as (the birds are very successful).
Neither one nor the other are in their box.

So I Submitted Machine Gun, my PRS Custom 24. I want prciser that I bought in the U.S., Baltimore is to say a few kilometers of the plant is o PRS factory, instead of 2400 dollars 4300 here (it's a table with PRS Saddle Top Ten sculpt is to say the highest finish available on the MODL).
As the name implies, the Custom 24 possde ... 24 frets.
The pickups are hambuckers PRS HFS bridge, Vintage Bass neck. The HFS destroy the Gibson sound, but the typical PRS with his strange, a little tearful. The Vintage Bass has a vintage sound (yes surprisingly c), but big warm sound sweeter than HFS, excellent guitar ambience.
My Custom 24 PRS has a vibrato, the mcaniques wraps.
CONTRL 1 volume, 1 Tone CONTRL of a 5-position rotary slecteur
She does book tui gain PRS leather with a sort of velvet midnight blue satin liserais red, beautiful. In addition to PRS has offered me a Zippo and a strap with a lot of mdiators.

UTILIZATION

The handle ... low profile heel, mahogany set neck, rosewood fingerboard inlays and "birds" pearl vritable (zoizos to the beautiful). Trs trs enjoyable, but very fast Submitted my prfr with that of the Music Man Luke.
Access in acute is simple: almost no heel, deep cutaway: access a breeze.
A play is a rgal. Standing, no problem but not too clger (BChE is not good but it's not the plasterboard). I sat a little harder but not too much problem we can find an enjoyable position. (Because of a: 9)
To the right sound, it's like on my Les Paul Black Beauty, just plug it !!!!!

SOUNDS

I love the guitar room and I must say that none of my guitars prtaient it really. Thanks to micro Vintage Bass of the PRS, I am filled for the rock, the true, that of Hendrix, Santana, Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits, it should! (Did you notice?: = Start Hendrix, Santana = PRS, Gibson = Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits = thought: she plays everything perfectly!)
Mtal for the rock hard or Metallica, or for stuff like that I'm really not an expert, it is ideal, since three quarters of the (pseudo) mtalleux play on.
For the blues no soucy good sound perfect fat (less than my gibson though). I do not like jazz, so I know. The classic ... I tap on a DLIR Ravel gave, if so!!
Frankly it is a distortion of the goddess, prcise and fat, and for this I will say that partialemment Mesa Boogie amp is the brand that suits him best (Soldano said it will also !!!). The clean sounds are warm, it is superb, but for fans of the chattering Fender Stratocaster is not really the strength of the brand. But the people do not long rsisterons this new sound !!!!!

PS: play with a Fuzz Factory pedals you have an incredible, never seen or even imagine!
The Ibanez TS9 distortion pedals to Reissue plugs into the clean channel of a Mesa all with PRS, gives her cry. Promise!

OVERALL OPINION

One I had for 3 months had a problem table so I returned. I just got a new PRS, but exactly the same color Royal Blue ... She is absolutely beautiful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love everything about her.
It costs exactly the same price as my Gibson Les Paul Black Beauty 1954 and possde a quality similar to rev high, worthy of the Gibson custom shop I tell you !!!!!!!
I also have a Hohner Start up in 1959 SA/SA/89 EMG (admittedly, it's less glorious but I love it) and I must say that the palette is complte!
The report price is trs good quality, although a still exorbitant and I put a ... n ass !!!!!!!!
I would do without this choice hsiter, I love it !!!!!!!! (9 for the price)

UTILIZATION

Usage is perfect to change the strings, nothing more simple,

access facilitated by the sharp and well set neck profile.

A very heavy guitar, nice neck hyper ... no problem ...

SOUNDS

On a mesa, is the top.

You can do anything with this guitar. Pop, the Neo-Metal Blues juqu'au well nag who let off steam!

We get warm sounds easy, c of the scraper raw emotion.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had one week, my eyes are shining again ...
I love everything about this guitar ... really all ...
It's expensive ... but cheaper than a lot of custom. I think it's Honorable, particularly by negotiating a bit.
I would do this choice without hesitation ... can be a second for another color?

These guitars are made entirely aus United States and assembled by hand.
As its name suggests, is a guitar with 24 frets like a micro HFS treble pickup and a Vintage Bass neck pickup like.
You can choose between two types of switch: a switch positions 3 and 5 in the double coil splitter single, which gives an incredible range of sounds (which is handy when you do have a scratch).
The bridge is a tremolo made in PRS, which is fine, but that has a "race" quite small. It is not possible to use the example Satriani
The knob really lets his play on the saturation and expands the sound spectrum of the beast.
There is still a fairly standard tone knob.
There are several types of heat with different thicknesses, which allows everyone to find their way

UTILIZATION

The neck is super friendly, the finish is amazing.
The guitar is actually quite heavy which is usually a good sign.
Dice the grip, you feel the quality in the fingers.
Do you get a good sound easy?? Uh ... How to say ... There's no other possibilities!
It sounds huge!!

OVERALL OPINION

It's been six months that I have brought this little gem of the United States, and for the world I would not change a guitar.
I play whatever I want with, and I have a sound to rival an Angus Young D lol: D
Top: Plug in a JCM2000 TSL100, and weep ...
The only downside: the price.
I continue to pay every month, but I do not regret for anything that I drool every day ... For I know that I got home, I plug the amp in the small world and I am over the moon D: D
