The PRS S2 becomes standard and all-mahogany
Paul Reed Smith announces three new variations of its S2 electric guitars in Standard versions, all made in Maryland.
With these three new Standard 22, Standard 24 and Singlecut versions, the S2 range now features a total of 11.
These three new guitars are available in 6 finishes (Antique White, Black, McCarty Tobacco, Seafoam Green, Sienna and Vintage Cherry) with a choice of Dot ($1199) or Birds ($1319) inlays. Also common on these new models is the all-mahogany construction (body and neck) and locking PRS tuners.

Last, the S2 Singlecut Standard features a single cutaway design, a 24-fret fingerboard, 25” scale length, PRS S2 #7 pickups, two volume and two push-pull tone knobs, a 3-way pickup switch and a PRS S2 Stoptail bridge.
