Recording King has announced the release of the Century Jubilee Series, a new series of acoustic guitars aimed at reviving the sound and look of the 1930s.
Aimed at providing a greater stylistic and tone variety to the Century Series, these guitars feature a vintage 2-tone tobacco sunburst finish and classic Recording King Crown peghead.
The Century Jubilee Series guitars have solid Sitka spruce tops supported by hand-shaped Sitka spruce bracing, with choices of solid rosewood, solid mahogany or solid maple for the back and sides. They also feature vintage-style Grover tuners. All guitars except for the RDJ/ROJ-16 are finished with hand-rubbed nitrocellulose lacquer, which according to the brand assure an even, dynamic tone.
Century Jubilee Series guitars are available in both Dreadnought and 000 body styles. Prices start at $599.99, with all models coming with a lifetime warranty.
The release is planned for December 2008.
