Small with a good tone

Taylor GS Mini (Mahogany Top)Published on 03/14/13 at 20:37
If you are searching for something that is affordable and very nice to take around to travel with even if you are not a gigging musician than the Taylor GS Mini is the way to go. This guitar is small and durable; it has a beautiful finish and feel to it. I have been using this guitar since November and I can tell it is very well made. This guitar is smaller and portable but it is not the type of guitar you would get for kids. It is an adult guitar and made for the road.

UTILIZATION

The tone with this guitar is very full, the highs to mids are clean and crisp and the lows are pretty deep. I was very surprised by the tone of this guitar because I thought it was going to be missing out on some of the low end and even the mids.

SOUNDS

When I purchased the Taylor GS Mini it came with a case, the case was also made well and will last me a long time. I use this guitar several times a week when I am on the go and it has never let me down or gave me a bad tone. It doesn’t even scratch easily and I have had it in some bad situations where it got brushed against other gear and it still didn’t scratch.

OVERALL OPINION

That this price point I feel like the GS Mini is right on point with where it should be. It is price right and not to expensive. A lot of users say that this guitar is too small and that the sound is sub par but I do not feel that way. Yes it is on the “smaller” side but it is made for travel and portability. The sound and tone is amazing and I feel like you will not get much better in this price range.

UTILIZATION

Extremely pleasant with a nice handle grip, the wood quality. Pulling the strings origins is perfect. Ideal for those who do not have much in the habit of folks, this guitar does not hurt your fingers.
The size is very convenient, not only for transportation, but for playing comfort

SOUNDS

This is a beautifully balanced guitar, and I weigh my words, thanks to the mahogany probably. It does not have that crystal clear sound input or midrange new guitars.
Incredible sustain, you gently down the agreement and you hear the sound length with a beautiful rendering.

This guitar sounds great in picking and arpeggio, but also beautifully strumming. This is astonishing. The sound is well designed, but it has the guitar takes a little time to open too. But even new, it is impressive, especially considering the size.

OVERALL OPINION

Few weeks.
I have a lag that I had to pay 300 euros.
Nothing to see, Taylor buries very, very far.
Honestly, this model (mahogany / mahogany) really worth the price. I speak of this model, I have not tried the other GS Mini. Personally it would not hinder me to put a little more for this guitar. I think this is a very good compromise for those who do not want to put in a Euro 1300 martin example.
Pros: quality, wood, sound, size, grip. This is a guitar that just can not stand, and that is when we have 30 seconds free.
It is not at all a guitar "gadget" as the size might suggest.

Made in Mexico, not very far from the frontier and thus in M TAYLOR, manufacturing qualitee really good, solid mahogany for the table and rolled to the sides and back (slightly curved)
Miccro es-go option and very easy to assemble.

UTILIZATION

Bizzarement you would not think a guitar 3/4, and have tried a little and baby martin taylor gs mini is in my opinion more, and in any case more large (between 3/4 and normal. ..)
Channel taylor, nice, fine, comfortable

SOUNDS

"Mini" impressive guitar: the sound is powerful, mahogany version gives a sound with good bass and sound very nice, you can easily play any type of folk, rock and others strumming or finger.

OVERALL OPINION

Use daily for a month, nothing to do with a travel guitar, if n is the size a little reduite.un excellent / prix.c report is the missing link between a normal guitar and a guitar over a voyage.de great cover reinforced well padded with handle, front pocket and sangle.pratique, good sound, portable, but fun.
