Roland SDD-320 Dimension D

The Roland SDD-320 Dimension D is a rare outboard stereo chorus effects unit. It's unique in that it doesn't have much to work with in terms of parameters, although this makes it incredibly easy to use. It's an analog piece of gear consisting of both XLR and 1/4" connections for both inputs and outputs of the two channels. It is rack mountable and will take up two spaces in a traditional rack space.

UTILIZATION

Using the Roland SDD-320 Dimension D couldn't be simpler! It simply has a series of five buttons that will give you a range of different amounts of stereo chorus. All you have to do is patch through to this and let it do the work. You really don't need to know much to use this! A manual shouldn't be necessary for this reason...

SOUND QUALITY

The Roland SDD-320 Dimension D is undoubtedly one of the best chorus effects that I've used to date. It sounds really lush and full, and it sounds so good that it really doesn't matter that there aren't parameters to tweak the sound. It's also great for spatial effects and for stereo spreading. I've only used the SDD-320 Dimension D on electric guitar and a Fender Rhdoes, and on both it sounded truly awesome. It pretty much does what it does without room for tweaking, but what it does sounds great!

OVERALL OPINION

The Roland SDD-320 Dimension D is a classic effects unit that's pretty well sought after, as you aren't going to see too many of these around. Those who do own one of these will surely want to hold onto it, so chances are you're not even going to see too many of these changing hands as it's one of the best stereo chorus boxes ever made. If you ever get a chance to try this thing out, throw anything through it and hear the magic!

UTILIZATION

Four buttons for four chorus effects but engageable sparment ... So 16 variations of effects.
Indeed one button off and I said nothing of spending in love circuits.
Plug-in fan go your way! (Having said that it is plug-in in AU), ditto for lovers of rglages endless!

Spatialization ... you branch it is l. A bypass and a sound that you return the blow you all riquiqui stepfather.

it works for everything synth guitar, bass, vocals ...
you return to Mono (Stereo output of course) or Stereo.

SOUND QUALITY

Stro trs wide, suddenly there's air! chorus musical and sweet.
And spatialization! unique, with the classical principle of reverse polarity, and adding in the other channel, but the alchemy of circuits gives characters trs staff. A signature, anything but transparent, but subtle.

OVERALL OPINION

I love it! iremplaable for me.
It may well recess does not like that sound, it is not 36,000 things ... But he does it well!
As for the price ... Well if the unit silent not good, not the sellers sell and the price go down!
Also an important concept, no tubes, no tapes, printed circuits ... I do not see a commit could fail ... The buttons can be ...
