It's loud if you want it to be...And, being solid state, it sounds the same at lower volumes...

UTILIZATION

It really depends on what you consider a "good" sound...For a touring pro I would say there is no such sound on this amp...For a bedroom/basement setup this thing is fine...Easy to get good sounds and easily tweakble...The FX are alright but you don't have controls over the parameters to adjust the sounds...It's on or off with a mild amount of wet/dry control...

It works easily and well...Nice speaker inside too....The manual is actually quite useful....

SOUNDS

I use a lot of different guitars and they all sound alright they this amp....Single coils can get very abrasive on this amp so beware...It likes hum buckers...

I hate that you can't control the FX much at all...They went through the trouble of adding them and then just hardwired some crappy parameters rendering the FX almost useless to me....

The EQ is good....Standard frequency curve...No surprises...

OVERALL OPINION

You get what you pay for....


It's easy to use, lightweight, and fun to play with...But not passable in pro settings....More than capable of satisfying bedroom or basement setups....

The sounds are far from spot on...They are mere ballpark efforts thru a solid state amp...You get what you pay for....

UTILIZATION

Like many other who have had to tell you, it's a modeling amp that may seem very complicated at the configuration but the fact is quite simple, I used the manual to see boost distortion and removed the background noise (this type of amplifier has a noise gate). With this amp I finally found my sound: P: D

SOUNDS

This amplifier Line 6 Spider IV 30watts fully corresponds to my style of music (Trash-Metal, Metalcore and some Blues).

My settings:

Distortion channel as clear (chorus adds Ouje D: D): 8 bass, mid 4 / 5, treble 8.5 / 9, gain 7.5 / 9 (the shutter sound is dirty).

I only play with an Epiphone Les Paul 100 and the amp and I have no effets.Dans all just sounds like they are for some fun

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 weeks, I tested the Peavey Vypyr 15 that were very good too and Marshall (I did not like: /). This amplifier is primarily intended for the metals and not too much to lesblues man-even though I find it in this male catégorie.Très good value for money and excellent ampli.Avec experience, I would do without hesitation that choice!

Line 6 maybe the biggest company to use amp modeling, but I don't really like their tones that they get from these units. When I think of amp modelers I think of sterile inferior sounding digital processors trying to pull of the sound of a real amp.

This amp really doesn't come close to sounding like anything that would resemble a tube amp of any sort. Thought the effects like the delays and choruses sound ok, the stomp boxes and amps just sound terrible. There are some decent sounding ones but nothing you would use as a gigging or recording tone.

SOUNDS

If you are going to buy an amp with 12 different amp models then make them at least sound somewhat natural. I'm sorry but not one amp in the unit sounds very good. They all sound like a poor solid state attempt at sounding like the amp they are trying to recreate.

It really doesn't matter what guitar you try to play through this thing, they are all going to sound very poor. I have heard Strat through a cigar box amp sound better than this thing.

OVERALL OPINION

At the price point this thing is in you can find plenty of other amps that will sound a lot better than this one. Off the top of my head the Peavey Vypyr and Roland Cube series' sound a lot better than this thing. Sure this has a lot more customizable sounds with the effects and but all that doesn't matter if it sounds like garbage.

I like Line 6 products but this is not a good amp and I do not recommend this to anyone. If you are determined to buy it you can find them new at around $200. Not going to break the bank on this amp but the amps mentioned above sound more natural than this one.

Same size / hp than its predecessor, which I kept the pedal FBV4 (direct access presets more tap-tempo), the comparison stops there.

12 amp simulations, effects more delays over separate reverb, 4 memory locations free (can be 4 times the same amplifier equalized differently, for example).

30 watts into 4 ohms, I installed my hp eminence GB12 carefree into 8 ohms (the receiver must issue 15-20w at present but as the eminence is significantly more effective than the original celestion it sounds louder in the end ). I drive a 4x12 4ohms to see mind-blowing it dry ...

Additional functions: maintaining tap tempo, 1 boost the drive engages a reverb 2 activates the noise gate
Another useful function in Maintenat tap tempo amp is turned to access the stored settings (when you turn all the buttons until the LEDs are lit ch2 and 3. It relaxes everything and we need only note what we see. Practice)

This is perfect side characteristics, especially when you look at the competition ...

UTILIZATION

It is rather simple and intuitive, especially since the effects are much better than before the coup everything is really usable.
Do not hesitate to exaggerate the effect because it is not necessarily changing their intensity rather the type of effect (eg, sweep echo).
You can adjust the channel volumes very sweet to have a full control at very low volume (like midnight apartment ...).

In fact the only thing that bothers me is that whenever the preset button turns the amp, the EQ-stroke-volume effects are changed grr.

SOUNDS

Then there is the previous day and night, variety, delicacy, definition, dynamics amps are really good about the effect is even more blatant as it is better.

In absolute terms the delays and reverb are great both in heat and in quality.
As for the amp is always a bit shy from a good type transistors or Orange 35ldx Bandit, but it's still usable and fun to play.

If you like the line6 graouh has something to delight you, a sacred grain of sound as you like!

OVERALL OPINION

It's been two-three months that I have, I had its predecessor as well as large series spider2.
The concept of this is very 30w led finally really manageable and usable, and practice (size, weight, headphones, line in front master volume).

It's different as amp or tube or transistor, not really comparable but I prefer small tube amps all I had.
For the price you have Vypyr (sounds good but junk and gas plant), the Cube (zero-preset equalizer-only global effects unusable for lack of settings-small hps), Vox (gas plant but sounds good-no line in).
For the digital category of course.

Finally here is nothing missing on this line6, the hp is pretty rough but at least we have a choice in super 12pouces.
Amp working very nice, especially with the FBV4 pedal (not included, injury).
Overall not far from a certain perfection casually.

UTILIZATION

this amp is a model not very simple but simple compared to other amp manual is useless I did not even open.
The sounds are very good multiple well defined but when we push the distortion sound quickly becomes too awful nice clear sound and very strong distortion

The style of this amp is still based the distortions are clear but are still very beautiful (her lover go clear crystalline Fender amp that is not for you).

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for over a year so I ' I've tried a lot of recoil can model before purchasing Aquer but after I tried many peavey fender mesa line 6 ...
I like his versatility clear sound
I like the fact of not less able to push too much distortion at the risk of having a sound disgusting.
This amp is worth its price it is well I hope to keep it a little while but I would do not what to choose I would look instead to a tube amp is
