Here the most interesting and most important in my ears and I think also for yours party.
It is perfect for my ... my style blues rock, reggae, jazz and hard rock of the bearded man with his beer in hand.
Magic with this amp is that first spark you say "yeah nice but nothing more" very nasal limit drafts (with all the knobs in the middle), but if we try to go further than the button "on "the amp is found effective ultras potentiometers, which will allow her to spend the big fender lens through his marshall vox, but especially the big advantages with these controls is that they will allow you to sculpt your sound. So you go out of a transistor amplifier means, at first with just his beautiful, huge, magical. I have not found any defect for this amp except the first tough game (which is not really an actual default).
It respect the grain of fine guitars and info I'm gibson SG standard.
I play it with a Gibson SG mainly (for info)
OVERALL OPINION
I've had a week so I can not guarantee anything about the life of this amp but it seems robust .... very robust, with a very nice finish.
I was there a long time ... the horrible marshall MGDFX (Peace to my soul), I later acquired a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe that sounded beautifully and many other amp I've tried so by the.
I find no real fault is this amp.
Little explanation I bought this amp to win a bet with myself, said earlier I had a fender lamp that sounded the fire god with good pedal ass and a super clear sound, but a tube amp c ' is heavy, neighbors become your worst enemy, it requires a lot of maintenance, it is fragile, the heating time of the lamps and the cooling time it gets really painful in the long run. So I thought why not amps or transistors is lighter, it requires less maintenance, no warm-up time or cooling is less fragile. But the problem is that a transistor amp sounds like its not a lamp but this sentence goes back to 80 years technology has evolved, so I tried a lot of amps or transistors for what is done and I am fall on that famous trademark 60 and I had a favorite, because this amp is a transistor amp but that sounds as good or better than my old lamp (the sound is very accurate), whenever I turn I discover new pleasant surprise.
After I'm saying it sounds better than my old lamp has not the grain of the lamp, but he has another grain just as nice, the only real downsides compared to the lamp that is the dynamic that is small but ample. It combines the qualities of light (except dynamic) that is to say its super hot and all the trimmings and the ergonomics of a transistor.
I would do is choose a great pleasure.
I my only 7 because I do not know that life.
But the best advice that I give to you is to try it (even though it is not easy with this amp) because it is really amazingSee less100 - MGR/Dennis

This amp gets great sounds, period. I have long abandoned the "tube vs. solid state" argument and have since kept an open mind and open ears when trying out new equipment. This thing has two great channels and the direct out is fantastic. Live I run it direct into the P.A. and run the P.A. e.q flat so I get the same sound out of the P.A. as I hear from my amp. Very useful. With my setup (Strat with a hotter bridge pickup) I can set the amp to get a bright, slightly edgy rythym tone and a dark, smooth overdrive. I go for Ford/Carlton type sounds and I set the Drive channel on half, and boost it with a tubescreamer or modified Boss Super Overdrive. I am very happy with this amp.
One thing, I wish the footswitch buttons weren't quite so close together, but I only switch channels anyway. I leave the reverb and boost functions on, it helps give the amp more punch on live gigs. The reverb is slightly noisy too, but I keep it at 11:00 and use a boss delay set low for added ambience.
This thing seems very well made and durable for such a small amp. It feels very solid, and now it is actually fun to load out after gigs! I may actually get another one, or a Power engine for bigger rooms and outdoor festivals and leave my huge Carvin in the basement.
The bottom line is that this is a great, little inexpensive amp that will cover many genres of music. It may be a little subdued for metal tones, but I cannot comment on that since I play mainly jazz/blues/funk stuff. Try with an open mind, you may be surprised!!

The amp is a tone dog. It is capable of a wide range of Fender to Marshall type tones and plenty of shades in between and beyond. Although not a super high gain amp, there is enough grind and low end to cover almost any style except modern metal. Slap an overdrive in front of the high gain channel and you will be able to chunk with the best of them. When I first played this amp at bedroom volumes I worried a little about a slight lack of sustain and a tonal mismatch between the channels (channel 2 is much darker than channel 1), but the first time I cranked the amp my worries dissapeared. At high volumes the amp character changes for the better. Sustain increases and the timbre of the amp becomes smoother. At 60 watts, this amp is loud enough for rehearsals and small venues without a mic but will have to go through a PA for large clubs and outdoor shows. Having a footswitchable boost for solos is something I now rely on. I wouldn't buy another amp without this feature. And best of all, I can carry all my gear in one trip from the car. This amp weighs around thirty pounds, leaving a second hand free to carry misc items. I've had this amp for about a year and I totally love it.
On the minus side...The direct recording XLR output is kinda weak. The sounds are overly compressed and squashed sounding. It sounds good if you mix it with a miced signal, but then what is the point of recording direct. I've had to add cab sims in order to give it a little more "open" sound direct. Also, this amp is very directional. For better monitoring I usually tilt the amp or set it on top of something else.
Construction is solid and everything appears to be of very high quality. Cosmetics are great as well. It mixes the modern look of black tolex with crome amp corners with a vintage wicker grill. The grill is tough as well. I have a cat that likes to scratch my amp grills (damn him!) and the grill still looks new after a year. Controls are top mounted.
Anybody searching for great tone in a small package should really take a look at this amp. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the new modeling amps, but it's warmth and feel are great. I've owned amps from pretty much all the major manufacturers and this is my favorite one. I currently also own a Line 6 Flextone. Although the Flextone wins hands down for versitility and direct recorded tone. The Tech 21 has it beat in terms of feel, warmth, bass response at high volumes, and over all tone. I'm very picky about my amp and although not perfect, it's the perfect choice for me.

I Am surprised that tech 21 doesn't get the recognition from artists for not only the direct pedals, but for these perfect sounding amps.
Could use a third channel.
Very well built. For sound quality and ruggedness.
Above all others...Foolish not to try one..Rate it 5 of 5.

There is a switch "bite" that gives more teeth (as the name suggests) and more attacks that are strong sches think a Fender amp.
Without the "bite" the sound is smooth and warm, it is with this sound that I have the most tripper for now ... jazz sound that I wanted!
There is a knob for gain, one for volume and troisme of this channel is a "Punch" making the sound more nasal sound (much like a wah wah) above the middle position and , below, a hollow sound.
The pots can make important changes on the sound but it is not easy to use. In some positions, it gives the impression of playing with the bridge pickup when it is the handle, it's amazing! Gnral but it's not the desired effect!
It's all about dosage with this amp, because each change on any knob affects the volume, so be aware of its equilibrate rglages!.
The channel has a switch deuxime "weep" which immediately "fuzzer" sound
as an overdrive Vox or the Jimi Hendrix sound! And personally, I love the sound of this style (cf. Grand Funk Railroad, Fu Manchu, Kyuss, ...) When it is removed it has a more sharp and prcis. This nickel is to have the sound of a class A amplifier or A / B just by touching a single switch. There is also a knob "growl" sound which paissit, really effective but makes her strong mtallique.
I must admit that I did not immediately Found the / sounds I was looking for! Now I am fully satisfied!
In terms of connectivity, it is also very complete! It lets you plug in headphones and this is rarely the case, but the sound is spot on! Just like the SansAmp XLR output: direct rendering plug trs is correct! It's terrible to be able to register with as great simplicity has an effects loop (footswitchable by dbrayable). About the footswitch, it lets you go from one channel to another and also disable the reverb. There is also a switch "link" which, like the leaves prsager his name, to link the reverb and boost volume. In this case, from footswitch, you can dcider to trigger a louder sound with reverb and in one shot! Very practical for leads! If you do not use the link, you contrlez either boost or reverb. Accutronics reverb is a bit exagre my tastes, at the del 1/4 of the race of knob, it's too noisy and too standard! But better to have too much than not enough when you can assess!
Otherwise, the amp is powerful trs, no problem for group play! Really! It's even hard to play trs low volume so quickly he yells! It looks trs cool, sober and practical. It is not overly heavy for its size.
It is a powerful and trs amp that can cover all styles! This is really thundering trs to have a grain of this quality and such warmth for a transistor amp.
My criticism does not seem like nuance trs because I ngatif cites no point ... but believe me, I do not find him! In any case, not yet! Amplifier, has not judged in a day or a month, I really think to do with the road to be able to judge objectively trs!
... Can we blame even when it is the lack of distribution of the brand Tech 21! I purchased this amp blind (or. .. we speak of eh ears) because I had great confidence in the brand, but I do not even when a normal! This is a pretty solid amp. Solidstate, but analog distortion with not many features in terms of effects, but many usable features for live use and if you have a good pedalboard you can get away with playin any gig with this amp.
UTILIZATION
It's an amp. Set the knobs, turn it on, set the levels and go for it!!
It's quite difficult to get a bad sound out of this amp if the knobs are starting all at noon.
SOUNDS
I've got to say, tech21 has been around for a long time, a very long time. Their stuff has always been very innovative and actually not too shabby for what it is. I'm not really sure why I haven't reviewed these earlier when they were 'trendy' but maybe some players will still find this useful. These amps are still around for a reason, and that is that they sound pretty damn good for what they are. The cleans I cannot get enough of, they're bright and twangy and chimey, everything you'd want it to be and it sounds great!
The distortion is where my opinion may differ from other players. Although it sounds VERY good, it is definitely not tube-like distortion. These are titled modeling amps to model after tube amps but with solidstate circuitry and although these amps are analog solidstate, it's a very good analog solidstate sound. But definitely doesn't sound like a tube amp.
Of course it depends on what you're going for, if you're a tone purist you'd probably stay away from the trademark. I personally have been able to comp some decent tones out of the T60 and wouldn't mind gigging with it in any situation if given the option. However at the same time, I think modeling has come so very far these days that the T60 is like the older 'version' that people aren't really going for anymore. There are better ones out there now that are in the same price range and might be worth looking at.
OVERALL OPINION
I think it's a decent amp. If you can pick one up for a good price go for it. But again, the technology is a tad old in terms of modeling. Because modeling has become so advanced and even closer to the real deal that the T60s are just like the older versions. So if you're a huge tone purist you may not suffice with this, or if you're looking for the newest best thing that sounds as close to a tube amp as possible this may not be your thing either. But if you're just looking for a decently priced amp with an AMAZING clean and decent distortion, this is worth looking into.See less00 - arnokPublished on 11/02/03 at 15:45 (This content has been automatically translated from French)Amplifier transistor. non numrique acoustic simulation.

This amp is not an amp modeler or an effects based mp that can have on board effects built right in. This is a basic solid state amp that delivers two channels one for clean and one for the gain and distortion tones. This amp can get dirty on the clean channels such as a classic Vox AC30 type tones or other British.
The front panel is pretty unique instead of the tradition style EQ names like bass, middle, and treble you have names such as drive, punch , and growl. You also have boosting functions appropriately named weep, bite, and link. This is one interesting amp and an amp that doesn't really need a whole lot of time to get it up and running.
This is a plug and play amp as the features are different but quickly understandable. This amp sound good with any guitar that you have. It is not particular to a certain to one specific guitar or single soil humbucker. It sounds great with anything you've got.
OVERALL OPINION
At new these amps come in right at around $400. Not that bad of a price for a nice little two channel deluxe amp. You get a great array of sound and also a nice reverb inside. I would recommend this amp to anyone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money and wants a decent sounding solid state amp. The Tech 21 guys know how to get a nice growling sound out of a pedal and here in a combo amp.See less00
