UTILIZATION

SOUNDS

before I had a Marshall MG50dfx, then I jou a TSL2000 during a concert, and I can tell you that the sound of that line 6 is not envy these amps

This amp is not a keeper amp at all. This thing is a basic sounding solid state amp modeler that doesn't sound anything like the amp modelers it claims to emulate. The tone is extremely thin and metallic sounding.

You get 12 amp models and none of them really are capable of sounding like the tube amps that are very famous and enough so that Line 6 would attempt to model. Not that it is Line 6's fault but the idea of amp modelers is really a humorous joke. The idea that they can emulate digitally a tube amp without tubes is just an enormously huge mistake. Nothing can emulate a real tube sound and feel.

I guess the most authentic sound are the effects. The effects do sound convincingly enough to go ahead make this purchase only for the practice aspect of it. If you are looking for a practice amp that is an all encompassing everything unit then this isn't a bad unit. You would never go on stage with this thing though. This is not a gigging amp. The sound man will laugh you right off the stage and may even ask you to take this amp off the stage and mic up one of the house amps.

This is why I am a bit confused of the reason for 150 watts of power when you will never need to turn this thing up this loud. Well, this amp is not a bad practice amp and with a good guitar it will get you jamming comfortably at home.

OVERALL OPINION


I don't believe that these amps are even offered anymore. I think these have been discontinued to another more modern model. If you find one on the classifieds I can't imagine it being more than $400.

I would recommend this amp to only someone who needs a simple practice amp doesn't want to spend too much money. They are pretty reliable and that is a plus.

- Amplification transistor. The Line 6 sends the Purel o must be with relative ease (I never Exceeds the 12 o'clock position on the knob volume).

The use for personal work is also apprciable trs trs but is soon surprised by the power of this amp.

SOUNDS

Difficult to do more versatile. We can all play with. Just choose one of 12 models (2 clean, 2 twang, 2 blues, 2 crunch, 2 metal, 2 insane).

The advantage of this type of amp is it sounds even with a scraper first prize. When I buy I played with an Ibanez GRX 140. Frankly it sounded pretty good. The problem is that otherwise a big guitar is useless. When I plugged my PRS sound is nice but does not change more than that.

We can do a lot of things with rock, blues, metal, ... the clean sounds are pretty much successful. Effects with some thoughtful we draw good things. I mainly use one of two metal modeling. Sounds surpassed.

A failure of the amp is at low level. When we play on a big palmute channel amplifier has saturated the tendency to generate a buzz rather ugly. But I use it in concert and it never was a big problem.

But modeling is practically insane unjouable. (Oversaturated)

To take full advantage of the amp, it is essential to have the shortboard to memorize his sounds. (4 presets in 9 banks, including 36 presets available) or at least the FBV Express. A small switch is supplied with the amp but it is ridiculous.

I use it for 2 years.
Its strong point is the multitude of sound you can create with and integrated tuner.
His weak point is that the amp is too low and tends to buzz in large palmutes.

Now I play on a ENGL Power Ball. Obviously it's more the same category, but I think if you have 700 euros to put in an amp is a good pretender.
