The Vision Octavia is the evolution of the original Octavia by his crateur Roger Mayer, say anything about the quality of manufacturing but some are a little dtails ergonomic ... weird! notice is also far from being a weird Octavia original level design!
UTILIZATION
It is simple to use plutt: Drive the level of gre, Output: the output level and tone agt frequency drives on the beach
There are three outputs that can adapt diffrent situations (the output buffer 1 & 2 can rduire unwanted noise from power supplies for example)
A strange dtail: the battery is located in a sliding plate facade derrire plastic ... which tends be a difficult time removing the battery installed ... but hey it's really a dtail
SOUND QUALITY
First of all let prciser one thing: the Octavia is an unusual effect can only be used under certain conditions (ie in single notes and chords on plutt acute in conjunction with a fuzz or distortion), the Octavia produces a sound between the octave and ring modulator providing a color trs particulire the sound: the guitarist has given its pedigree Obviously this is Jimi Hendrix, Purple Haze Listen, Fire, One Rainy Wish, Little Miss Lover, Little Wing, Machine Gun, etc. ... to hear this
Compares the original or its Octavia rdition the sound quality is similar in against the Tone knob allows you to change the effect on which frquences agt (what Jimi was in the studio) so it offers opportunities supplmentaires: Octavia is the best available on the market
OVERALL OPINION
I've had a big year now and it must be said that in my set is the effect that I use less often: it's so typical! nanmoins there is a kind of mythical ct noise when it switches on, you have to adapt his playing technique and have a good distortion sound for the full use ... if you're not sure what it is made at least a try before anything against you by your fan Voodoo Child you need the pedals!
