ThinkPad Laptop Core 2 Duo 2GHz, 2GB RAM, Fireface 800, Edirol UA5.
Ardour works without problems as well as packaged apps .... this in the context of use "simple" (see below).

I installed 64 Sutdio to the mix of the decision-her of my group (taken from each instrument separately). For all e is recallage voices it works very well, no crashes or Jack ardor is stable.

Have you tried many other models before acqurir?

I had Windows XP SP3 but I wanted to change because of the price of software and lack of stability (crashes rguliers ...), but also because I am Ubuntu user for several years and Systm it has always satisfied.

Otherwise I tried Ubuntu Studio Studio64 APRS, it satisfies me more especially at the interface more attractive and enjoyable for the same performance.
