The new Hughes & Kettner GrandMeister 36 delivers 36W of power but you can take it down to 1W thanks to the built-in Power Soak.
The amp head hosts three 12AX7 preamp tubes as well as 4 EL84 power valves which status can be controlled via the four LED indicators located on the back.
The GrandMeister 36 offers 4 channels (Clean, Crunch, Lead and Extra), as well as a three-effect section and you can save and recall up to 128 presets via the optional footswitch.
Control section includes 3-band EQ, noise gate with level control on the back, reverb, effect loop, volume, gain, master, resonance, presence knobs as well as a boost switch.
The connection panel features a line out, DI out, speaker output with Modern/Classic type de cabs switch as well as MIDI In and Out/Thru.
Hughes & Kettner adds that all the potentiometers were replaced with Smart Rotary Controls and if you connect an iOS-compatible MIDI interface, the GrandMeister 36 can be remotely controlled by your iPad via the free app available on the AppStore.
UK pricing announced is £1129 for the amp head and £169 for the optional footswitch but some stores already announces it at 999€.
