Danelectro connoisseurs will be happy to know that the brand reissues in 2015 its Convertible acoustic-electric guitar.
The Convertible is a kind of hybrid instrument, half-way between the acoustic-electric and the hollow guitar, for its features a sound hole and an under-saddle piezo, but also a ’56 Lipstick pickup mounted over the sound hole and three knobs for volume, tone and blend control just like on an electric guitar.
The Convertible 2015 edition has a Shorthorn shape, with a floating bridge, 25” scale length and 21 frets. It is available in Black, Tobacco Sunburst and Cream finishes.
This new Convertible is available for $499.99. More info at danelectro.com.
