Well, I did that for three days, but I had to share it.

Date (ie for more than 10 years) I set my drumkit to the ear, which seemed like a good choice. Well, besides that, I have long had his eye on the voltage Watcher, but I decide to buy it. I found the price a little overrated, I changed my mind lately, well I can ...

I work a lot in the studio, we all know the importance of sound in such conditions (as in all the way): the search for any default of the harmonic grating, vibration, a raid correct toms , the regularity of the sound of the snare drum, etc ...

Well, what have I done all these years without this object. In 5 minutes, without any specific research, I just checked the voltage of my barrels, 80% correct it will say, and immediately it sounded impeccably.

There I am sure make the most of my kit, and again, just to tensions adopted, because with this object you can test almost infinite tuning and vary depending on the skin too. In fact it opens a field of incredible opportunities, as far I preferred to keep his "walking" on my kit, now I know I can change, test, record, etc ...

I use only the skins Aquarian coated for striking, and Evans G1 in resonance. Configuration: 12x9, 16x16, 22x18 on a full Mapex maple snare is a Tama Starclassic hammered bronze. These are my tensions taken from each 10mm bolts (center of the skin, it is "20" below):
Snare: 90 hits in 75 at resonance.
Tom Viola: 70 for strikes, 65 to the resonance
Floor tom: same
Bass drum: 60 for striking and resonant.

In conclusion:

With simplicity and blinding speed is adjusted the entire kit, minting as resonance.
This accessory is what I bought more useful for a long time. I recommend strongly.
The price new in Brussels: 100 euros is not cheap, but good sound that is priceless ...
I give 10 out of 10.
