Kjaerhus Audio Classic Series [Freeware]

Kjaerhus Audio's Classic Series bundle of plug-ins is a collection of free VST plug-ins for PC systems. You can download these plug-ins individually or as a whole. The plug-ins that are in the Classic Series include the Classic Chorus, Classic Compressor, Classic Master Limiter, Classic EQ, Classic Delay, Classic Flanger, Classic Phaser, and Classic Reverb. It doesn't take long to download these plug-ins since even as a bundle they are relatively small in terms of size. These plug-ins are even easier to figure out how to use, as they all have similar looking interfaces that are as simple as can be. I don't believe that they made a manual for these plug-ins. I could be wrong about this, but either way most users won't need the assistance of one.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I'm not running these plug-ins any longer now that I run Pro Tools LE on a Mac OS, but when I did run the Kjaerhus Audio Classic Series plug-ins it was in Cubase SX on a Hewlett Packard Pavilion dv8000 lap top that had a 3.0 Ghz processor and 2 GB of RAM. I never had an issue running any of these plug-ins in the years that I used them. All of them always ran smoothly without performance problems, as none of them take up much processing power at all.

OVERALL OPINION

If you have a system that is compatible with the Kjaerhus Audio Classic Series plug-ins, there is definitely no excuse not to have them. While they aren't the best sounding plug-ins that I've heard, especially when compared to some of the newer ones, but considering that these are pretty old for plug-ins and are FREE, they sound pretty good. In fact, I'd stretch to say that they sound as good as any free VST plug-in that I've had or used. Go download the Classic Series plug-ins now if you haven't already!

The installation is very simple: to copy some DLL files in the folder VST

Bundle includes: a master-limited compressor, delay, reverb, phaser, flanger, auto-filter EQ and chorus

no need for manual and DLL are copyable in any VST environment

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I use it on 3 machines (2 laptops and 1 fixed station 4GB Ram) and FL10 focus on ableton

No known incompatibility problem

OVERALL OPINION

I use this bundle since 2006 about these plugs are my basic plug ins when no other plug does the trick, those still meet this

I mainly use the delay, compressor and reverb for the guitar. However, the effects are adaptable to each instrument

I have many other plugs but little effect of competing flexibility and quality with this bundle
Plus it is freeware

the +: the number of available effect the overall quality, the low CPU load
the -: 6 years after I'm still looking

Installation without any problems ... dll just to put in your vst folder, I advised a lot of people, and I could see that these plugs running both Cubase and Wavelab as Fruity Loops. The manual is fairly brief, but given the plugs, there is no need in ny.

Well, I did not turn on a monster (256 MB RAM), and I have no worries, they pile up without any problems ... No noticeable bugs.

OVERALL OPINION

I use the classic series in recent months, and these are my plugs for main effects. I find high quality, super easy to use system (pots), use very little CPU and then they are free too ... So the report qual / price is exceptional. I have not tried many other plugs on my machine (mostly freeware and demos), and their classic series is much higher. To be tested on other systems plugs effect significantly more expensive, I prefer the simplicity and usability effects Kjaerhus. Missing more than a distortion in the series and it will be perfect.

With a crappy sound card and just 256M of RAM, I never had to worry whether in Cubase or Fruity Loops.

OVERALL OPINION

The series I use classic for more than six months. Since I tried a freeware gambling other effects, but there is nothing, I always come back to those l.
They are intended for musicians who want to find good effects on a computer. We really feel like a real rack effect on hand, either the interface or sound! Because the sound is (freeware) of exceptional quality.
I put 10 because you can not always do better.
But for musicians dsargents is that of happiness.
It would be even nicer if adding a virtual guitar amp and bass amp simulator ...
If I had a type of VST advisor, it would be the Kjaerhus.
