Cosmos is an harmonic exciter and sub-bass generator based on hardware emulation. It can be applied to an instrument track (voice, bass…) or a full mix, and can also be used in broadcasting and post-production situations in order to enhance the clarity and punch of the sound source without affecting the gain.
It uses for this an harmonic exciter in lieu of an EQ, and a sub generator will improve the bass presence.
Along with the input, exciter and sub generator levels, Cosmos features a switchable limiter and a stereo image control. It is also possible to bypass the plug-in via a dedicated button.
Cosmos is available in 32 and 64-bit VST, AU, RTAS and AAX formats on Mac OS X and Windows for $149. You’ll find it on www.nomadfactory.com.
You can also get Cosmos in the Magnetics Bundle II pack, which includes the Magnetic II “Reel to Reel” tape machine and the Echoes box.
The plug-ins in the bundle are in VST, AU, RTAS and AAX formats for Mac and PC 32 and 64-bit, and retail for the special introductory price of $169 during a limited time and only at store.dontcrack.com. Regular price is $299. A demo version can also be downloaded.
