Sounds non-editable, non-rackable.
An input jack, an output, an input power supply 9V ... The base.
In bad: for me the top boost is probably superfluous to need to increase the size of the pedal, and for opening the beast, the space is not really optimized in that ... In short, I think it was a pedal that could have been more compact.
UTILIZATION
The general configuration is very simple with an overall volume knob, a distortion level control, three-band EQ (bass, midrange and treble) and a control top Boost.
The manual is light, as always with EHX, but as always with their products, no need to cut down 36,000 trees so that the user arrives to take them in hand.
Find its sound is very easy.
SOUND QUALITY
Then I heard that it did not sound with active electronics, personal but I did not care because I'm on liabilities (two EMG Hz Hz S3 and H4) and it sounds just monstrous ! The sound is excellent, it has teeth, it sounds organic and not at all fake, all-tube combo on one kind or even Vox AC15CC1 Bugera V22 and V5 is just the foot. It is rare to find such a warm sound with a high gain distortion.
The downside for the top boost which is really too loud and will never be worth a real boost to pedal settings ... Past 10 am on the knob of couse you saignerez ears and may kill all the dogs in the area ... An option to use highly questionable.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for some months now and I tried before the Boss HM-2, DS-1, MT-2, a Blackstar DISTX, tc a Rottweiler, the MXR Distortion III and Fullbore and an EHX Metal Pocket MetalMuff, c is also a vamp that got me it drove me to acquire the big sister.
I love his sound and his three band EQ (the sharp knobs of Mediums!), I hate its size and top boost.
Bought new for less than 70 euros, find him a concurrent level sound quality at this price, I laugh! Brief report quality / price ratio.
I would do this hundreds of times choice if you must!
