The riff shooter, is a very strong overdrive pedal that balance, we will od the very mild to the big OD task which limits distortion. A volume, a tone that the acute cutting, a drive, and which manages a voice frequency saturation. The voice tone and act together to color effect. A selector in the middle can choose between three types of OD, the lazy more light too compressed, the juicy, that her task, drool all you want.
A booster also called potato, which serves as a clean boost.

UTILIZATION

Simple enough, but not so obvious to the grip use. Firstly the tone that cuts treble, can be used in the opposite direction clockwise. The voice is original enough to like me used predominantly OD three knobs, like the type TS. Once you understand the principle is quite simple and very intuitive final.

SOUND QUALITY

I play Marshall JTM45 (I love this amp clean, crunch and falling). I use a Gisbon Les Paul and a Fender Stratocaster. Riff Shooter fits well with my two shovels, no worries at this level.
I thought the boost tended to flatten the sound, and the sound of the saturation tended to fuzzer run its course, what bothered me. I looked on the bp, thinking it was the settings of the pedal itself. In fact, there was nothing. I have a master volume installed on the back of the head, that I did not use because I am also connected to a power attenuator. It was this latter problem, I do not know why. But in any case, I cut and set the tone with the master (I lose a bit of momentum, but good), and there magic, boost works perfectly, and the pedal is like awakened . OVERALL OPINION

I use it only for a few days, and I learn to tame the beast. I love the texture of the wild beast, that will give you an unusual sound which is a clone of a clone of a reissue. SOUND QUALITY

I forgot booster called "potato", I love the name. While it may not be 100% transparent for extremists, say 98%, but it brings a nice roundness in the midrange, frankly it's a great addition to a double pedal.

this is where I put a caveat.
I play on a great blues junior tweed gives me the surly grain overdrive low as high volume.Il is stupid (in my opinion) to add an overdrive in tube amp that does not need .... well I did it! I tried one evening on a tele, strat, a 335, les paul with humbucker les paul junior and p90

I kept the strat (it's like that right now I'm strat) tortured all buttons and not really ...... it used to me.

if you have a very good quality lamps: paste in a kind soul preacher compressor and it does wonders ..... no better boost in my opinion

The settings are intuitive and many but in all cases, we always get a nice sound.

I do not think I have explored all the possibilities of the beast but in any case I'm delighted, special mention knob voice, very interesting for my taste. The Lazy / Horny / Juicy settings also allow you never miss saturation and refine his gain control more subtly changing fashion.

I use it for 1 month. Previously I was on a T-Rex Tonebug overdrive, not without having tested the TS or other OD pedals. I decided to turn to a boutique pedal, in this case the Riff Shooter because the overdrive is one of the few effects that I use, it was important for me to have an excellent record.

Clearly, we are here at a higher level. The sound is much less boilerplate than conventional overdrive settings really help sculpt his own sound, but also to approach one of your favorite artists.

As said earlier, I love the voice and the different modes that allow you to customize your own sound.

I'm playing guitar since 1981 and have acquired this pedal last year after previously bought Nitrogen 21. I use the pedal alternately with an SG Standard, a 52 reissue Telecaster and an Ibanez RG550. It's pure happiness with a ruffling sound in all available configurations that are very numerous. Honestly, I still wonder why look elsewhere for what is available is in the room by a very friendly guy, available and responsive to what I could tell.

Everything has been said, it is an overdrive coupled with a booster, it can be used alone. The overdrive before the boost in the chaining.
The aesthetic is very successful, and the standard connectivity (jack in, jack out and DCIN 9V).

UTILIZATION

The overdrive is controlled via a footswitch and 4 rotary knobs, plus a central rotary switch to 3 notches (lazy, horny and juicy), each of these positions is a more or less hairy sound signature.
One volume knob, one for the rate of drive, a tone, and less classic a knob called "voice" that can select the range of affected primarily by the saturation frequency: simply put this knob selects the "color "the desired, since rather round and bluesy things more aggressive overdrive things.
Tone coupled to the two settings allow a nice range of different sounds, although the pedal keeps its own identity: that of providing a rather chubby overdrive (or very chubby ...)

Anyway it's all very simple and intuitive, we feel that the dashboard of this pedal was designed with common sense and practicality.

So now, my amp is an Orange TH30 head coupled with a 2x12 closed cab of the same brand.
This beast is a great amp capable of producing everything I seek a beautiful very clean organic, a devastating distortion on the dirty channel (JCM 800 so doped hormones), and overdrive / distortion vintage very nice, but ... which requires pushing the clean channel at levels that may frighten drummers, bassists, neighbors, or any living being within 2 km ...

Ben appears you I did, and I even placed a sacred number in the guitar and the head of the standard OD pedal shop that costs an arm, but I have always been two or three stuff:
- Some overdrive sound is amazing, but still in ranges of light gain.

Shazâââm! This is done since I tried Riff Shooter, it simply covers the entire sonic palette that separates the clean channel of my amp dirty channel, and it does so with a realistic sound that simply blew me away.
I agree with everything that has been said in the previous opinion: ultra organic "amp like" (sensitivity to the attack, the volume of the guitar), silence prodigious operation, equalization finally pallet rich with just two knobs, a real boost with allowing a solo attack with certainty to break into the mix.

With a very competitive price in relation to the incredible sound quality that allows the Riff Shooter is clear to me above the fray.

Top quality in focntion your amp, your guitar you will have many opportunities, from slight crunch to the big sound
I use it on a point to point boutique amp made in U.S. (brand Carole-Ann) and a 3D electro voice firm Force. I use the pedal on the clean channel, or on the overdrive channel when it is crunch.
I also use it on a boogie msea clear sound, or marshall.
Next guitar, Gibson Les Pail, Custom Shop Relic Telecaster, Duesenberg and G & L Commanche, it sounds with all the top guitar. You can play the tone, the drive and voice based d ela guitar, for example, has duesenberg microphones with a large level, I drive down a bit compared to the Les Paul for example.
As the notice précedent I sound better is the big overdrive ZZTOP way.
Personally, I put the drive in background, a background voice, the tone was third and that 's top. It gives me a different grain of my Carol-Ann saturated channel, which is rather typical Plexi (I rule with treble, mid and bass to daux tier.

Abslument must have this pedal, if you like greasy and slimy saturations.

Just plugged in my Torepdo CAB, I sound ... good. Fluke is going to say? I take things to start with the "Lazy" position ... a bit less gain but still exceptional dynamic response and silence this time TOTAL! the interaction between the knobs "Voice" and "Drive" gives me opportunities to gain ratio and harmonic richness that I never had ... even less in a pedal! "Tone" is a way that I really like, I feel placed in the circuit before the gain stages, what it does it change the sound of the guitar, it is more or less acute but the distortion it does not move.

Turning the video I realize that my game yet rather like "here we go and we'll see what happens" has never sounded so clean and clear, especially on passages taping.

I have tried many kinds of pedals "amp in a box" (tech 21, Bogner, Wampler) who had all the qualities but by no means wealth, musicality and incryable silence of this pedal ... I got to test that, but I ordered one immediately!

-3 Usual settings: volume, tone and drive. the tone by acting as a low-pass filter (it passes low frequencies and cut high frequencies)

A voice-control: range (100hz to 1000hz) on which the center frequency of the saturation will wear.

-Selector 3 positions, with an almost sweet overdrive to overdrive "super Burne"

-Booster: placed after the overdrive it sends the shooter riff on territories stoner rock without any problems! it can be used independently (riff shooter off) to boost a clear or saturated sound.

A hyper-neat finish and great design.

UTILIZATION

I mainly use this marvel of a amt ss11 preamp tube constantly on the clean channel in the power amp transo electro harmonix 44 magnum, 22 caliber or marshall 9100/el34 with two 1x12 cabinets in eminence cannabis rex (with very serious the smooth treble) on one side and eminence gb 128 (a greenback with more sins) of another.

my guitar of choice is a deluxe Viking hagstrom Tremar on which I installed a Gibson 57 + and p94 (p90 in a humbucker format) but I also have two Gibson Les Paul in 57 classic and seymour duncan sh2/sh4. (I have not tried the RS with simple by my p94 pickups)

I usually place all my pedals od / distortion / fuzz between two equalizers (a chart before the first pedal and a parametric right after the last one) for obvious reasons of lack of something or a small space in the shitty mix group ...

I said that the manual pedal is downloadable on the new site jmb but those propertied the sublime nitrogen 21 will in no case disoriented, the knobs all interacting with each other.

I sound "MAMMOTH" with my viking! A huge "resonance" in the midrange, a very large dynamic range (the game volume knob is very responsive!), High accuracy even in the super serious (like it very low tunings).
