Wounded Paw Effects Battering Ram

The Battering Ram is a pedal Overdrive Fuzz + that works as well for guitar or bass or anything else you want to plug into it. Overdrive Fuzz + means that channels overdrive and fuzz can work in parallel, each channel receiving the signal of the instrument. They are then mixed together. Version 2.0 adds the Battering Ram SPLIT switch which selects the signal path: separate channels or in parallel.

1 input, 1 output, 1 9V jack. Nothing complicated.

The general configuration is very simple.
No need for manual when you have good ears.
The sound editing is very easy.

SOUND QUALITY

Move the switch to activate the OVERDRIVE Overdrive channel. It is a soft overdrive that can go from totally clean to distortion grunting through the DRIVE knob.
The switch adds the LO signal at low frequencies to make for full range bass and other instruments.
HI button allows you to either increase or decrease the treble to adjust the tone you want.
LEVEL knob on the side Overdrive control the output volume of the Overdrive channel only.
Section FUZZ is activated via a second switch and has its own LEVEL knob to adjust the volume separately from the Overdrive.
The fuzz sound is harsh and aggressive and can go to the extreme when you mount the SUSTAIN.
The TONE is the cutting up to a mid-cut, through an equalization flat.
And another series of sounds, there Oct. switch to change the section by adding a fuzz octave up.

OVERALL OPINION

I since February 2010. I've tried a lot and I still have a lot to try! The real plus is the sound processing on the overdrive channel, which adds presence and power aAs the sound of the fuzz. It cuts through the mix!
It is a relatively expensive pedal nine, but a quality / price unbeatable opportunity!
It is true bypass.
A great pedal for those looking to thicken their sound group with convincing sound quality.
