Luminth and the Luminth Orbiter software are intended for both beginners or advanced musicians looking for an easy and compact device to create music. The system can create morphings, evolutive ambiences, melodies, rhythms and add effects in real time.
The Luminth box is a USB interface equipped with a push encoder which color changes with music. You can connect it to you computer to control the Luminth Orbiter software (which also works in standalone mode).
The software offers synth and percussion sounds, effects and a sequencer. A dynamic mode allows the user to morph between sounds and a randomization function is included.
You can fund this new project on KickStarter until June 13th, 2013. The Luminth USB controller retails for $100 (a Luminth Orbiter license is included for Mac and Windows), but a $10 discount is offered to the first 50 investors. You can also purchase the Luminth Orbiter software separately for $30. Release date is scheduled for september.
