[NAMM] 3 new Boss guitar pedals

The Roland/Boss team will introduce at Summer NAMM 2014 in Nashville new editions of three classic effect stompboxes.

Labeled Waza Craft (Waza means “Art and Technique” in Japanese), these new editions of the DM-2 Delay, SD-1 Super OverDrive and BD-2 Blues Driver have been completely revamped with brand new circuits and chassis. Boss adds that the effects respond to your playing dynamics and level.

The three pedals are powered by a 9V battery or optional adapter.

The BD-2W Blues Driver reproduces the classic sound of the original distortion, but a second Custom mode adds more body and sustain for a new effect. The circuit is fully analog and discrete. The pedal features three Level, Tone and Gain knobs, as well as two Mode and Pedal switches.

The SD-1W Super OverDrive also offers two operation modes/effects: Standard for the original overdrive tone and Custom with more gain and versatility. The circuit is also fully discrete and analog and you’ll find three Level, Tone and Drive knobs, as well as two Mode and Pedal switches.

Last, the DM-2W Delay uses a classic Bucket Brigade Delay analog circuit and will generate the original DM-2 delay sound with delay times ranging from 20 to 300ms, or a Custom warm and clear sound with more than twice the delay time.

The pedal is stereo, with two outputs and it also features an expression pedal input.

The controls on this stompbox include Repeat, Intensity and Echo knobs as well as the Pedal and Mode switches.

No information regarding the pricing of these new models.
