Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret MKII

Nothing more simple, it is an Overdrive / Distortion type "Foundation Overdrive" That is to be used on an amp with a clean sound to give the character another amp, a Marshall here Plexi.

UTILIZATION

Not very complicated to use, 4 knobs:
- Presence (for gloss)
- Fullness (to give the body)
- Master (volume)
- Preamp (gain)

It is fairly easy to manipulate and quickly found a sound (unlike its cousin the RAH which requires a lot of time).

The manual and videos on the site give some examples that may be useful

SOUND QUALITY

It does a good job. On an amp like Fender clean is quite impressive. It is not for the Marshall sound but Van Halen Vintage typed.

The pedal has a good dynamic but might react a little better volume knob of the guitar.

I used a Les Paul and a Torpedo CAB, so no real amp. And then it seems that Catalinbread generally do not like this type of config. The microphone is very serious draft (this is not the case with Wampler in the same config) or unusable.

After that, a real amp it gives very good results. The settings are effective and highly interactive.

OVERALL OPINION

I pedal past 6 months, I use it from time to time but it does not go very well with my config. I prefer the Wampler Plexidrive in the same category that goes better with the rest of my chain.

I'd rather have the MKIII which still looks more opportunities in the same style.
