Mine dates from 1980, I believe .. analog and no frills.

UTILIZATION

3 knobs: volume, tone and gain, in my view, on an overdrive pedal, that's enough and it can not spend more time tweaking than playing.

SOUND QUALITY

Sound .. Well, it is not original at all, can be heard across a large portion of blues records and related past 30 years, but the sound (say, sounds ..) which should best in a blues-rock record.
Depending on the guitar and amp (tube, eh ..) can be approximated SRV, Rory Gallagher, Johnny Winter, Hendrix and even (red house) and Clapton (Cream era) I speak of course of his, eh, not talent. .

OVERALL OPINION

I bought the bug a few months ago for 200 euros is expensive. Totally agree with the previous opinion, 650 is theft ..
On the other hand, I do not think I need another overdrive pedal before this one does me loose ..
on the other hand, and it peut_être obvious, I strongly recommend buying this pedal in order to transform a guitar amp and a mediocre into something else. this will inevitably disappointing and in this case, it is probably better to turn to modeling ..

For my part, I do not regret my purchase at a price it cost me, more expensive, it is out of question .. Especially since there are pedals that do a job roughly equivalent to a reasonable price (The BBE Green Screamer, for example ..)
