Swineshead Pickups has introduced a new seven string single coil pickup called the SH97.
Like the six-string SH90 introduced earlier this year, the SH97 is a single coil pickup in a humbucker housing built to fit any seven-string guitar that would normally use humbuckers. According to Swineshead, this opens up a range of clear, crisp single coil tones without the need to rout or modify the guitar in any way.
Like Swineshead’s other seven string pickups, the SH97 is available in three different sizes (replacement for Standard, Carvin or EMG seven-string pickups), thus allowing them to used as direct replacements for all major seven string guitars currently available.
The SH97 is available in a wide range of colours and woods. Each pickup is handmade in the English village of Swineshead and comes with all the necessary screws needed to mount it.
DC Resistances:
- Bridge – 8.7k
- Neck – 7.5k
- Magnet: Alnico 5 rods
MSRP: £59.95 in plastic finish (10 different colors available), or £69.95 in either of the 7 different wood finishes available.
