Appys launches an 8x8 ADAT through Cat5 connector extension box, called ADX-16, that was introduced during Musikmesse 2013.
The ADX-16 operates as an affordable 8×8 digital snake and allows for bidirectional transmission of 2 ADAT signals through a CAT5 connector on up to 100m distance.
The box is compatible with all the data formats sent through Toslink (ADAT, S/PDIF, AC-3/Dolby Digital, DTS…).
The ADX-16 kit, which includes a receiver, a transmitter and an AC adapter, is available for $199 excl. VAT. It is made in Switzerland. More details at appsys.ch.
