For my part, I agree with mcgear. In fact, I think a good sound system is too expensive to start & whether it is for the sound system (even loving the sound, it does not say we know what annimation before be tested). This kind of stuff shows whether it is for the sound system without too much throw money away if it's not. In my case, I started with the speakers of this type (can be a bit better) and having a pretty tight budjet tjs because of my school which cost me € 5,000 / year, I have not a super soundsystem but I am now working with 15 Wharfedale EVP-X equipped with compression, which is a very ageéable & its good performance for not much more expensive.
NB: For starters, go rather see in Wharfedale still, the powers are less advertised dream, but have the advantage of being real. In addition their enclosures have very good sound quality for the price.
