Sebounet « a ruthless judge as linear »
Published on 01/05/12 at 12:02I was looking for a pair of speakers that give the reality of the quality of my mixes. It's done. Judgement is ruthless. They would be used to validate the quality of mixers or its generating systems. Any Bossette arises. They are very critical. One regret: the definition is not up to the linearity.
SOUNDS
You have to choose these speakers for their linearity, coupled with a subwoofer. For routine definition (reverb tail and other calculations of attack), you should take something else.
OVERALL OPINION
Only, I would not use them. Coupled to a pair of good Sennheiser HD 600, these speakers reflect the unforgiving reality of my mix. For the price, I do not see how it would be better. Attention fragile, do not "tap" into it too. An extremely well calculated placement is essential for faithful sound reproduction, if possible not too close to a wall. Personally, I have placed 40 cm from a wall, two fixed brackets. The dream!
